@StonedGV yeah i know ford has a limited budget in V8 Supercars, hence less cars but they still managed to win in the end. Ford came 1st and 3rd in the championship. Maybe if Ford loses the championship next year, they might increase their motor racing expenditure. But with COF coming and other makes likely to come, whos to say that Team Vodafone wont switch to a Nissan, BMW, Toyota who will pay even more to them.

Ford didnt want the high cost of funding Team Vodafone and hence pulled sponsorship funds from that team. Holden must be gutted considering holden men predicted at the beginning of the year .. that Holden would fill the podiums of every race and demolish Fords winning streak.....  BURN !

@haloaum in 2009 ford technically did not win the championship cause ford cut their funding on 88 and djr in 2008 so 888 were on there own same as djr but in 2010 ford gave money to dick Johnson racing

@haloaum Fail, 888 were already a GM outfit. See BTCC and 888 there, already GM and have never been Ford. When the contract with Ford expired they went straight back to GM. Simple. Yes money was probably part of the issue, but as far as 888 were concerned it was always a GM outfit
