if u just watch the movies i guess u can think like that but in the books Ron and Hermione and Harry and ginny are so obvious, well harry and ginny are in half blood prince and Deathly Hallows.But the movies don't really show it as much as the books do.

Why do you assume that just because I don't ship R/Hr or H/G I haven't read the books? I've read them more times than I can count. Rowling herself said that H/Hr was a possibility after what happened in DH.

(continued) I don't think R/Hr or H/G was obvious at all. I think it was obvious that Ginny liked Harry and that Ron liked Hermione, but Harry never even THOUGHT about Ginny until book six, and Hermione's feelings toward Ron could be interpreted in several ways until book six as well, and book six featured very inconsistent characterization. Just because a couple's canon doesn't mean I have to ship it. I think Harry and Hermione work better, and that's that.

I already read that page. Why don't you understand this? I *know* that R/Hr get together, I just don't agree with it. They bring out the absolute worst in one another - when they're together I despise both of them, and they're two of my favorite characters! Furthermore, Ron had to have his personality COMPLETELY overhauled in order for R/Hr to work. Harry and Hermione have some of the most sincere and touching moments together of any of the other characters. I ship how I ship. Let it go.

Yes, I read the books. Many, many times. I am well aware of how it ends up. Why do I still ship H/Hr? Because I ship based on which relationships I like. You don't have to agree with me, but please don't insult my shipping preferences. I refuse to change my ship just because it isn't canon, and I'd really appreciate it if you'd respect my decision. Anyway, the beauty of literature is the freedom to have different interpretations. There's no point if everyone thinks the same.

I felt insulted because you were insinuating that simply because I prefer one couple over another, I never read the books. That type of narrow mindedness really grates on my nerves, especially given the ship wars that occurred several years ago. And "ship" is short for "relationship," and is used in the fandom as both a verb and a noun - if you ship a/b, then you want a/b to get together.

Well, um, they kiss in more than one episode. The first kiss is from the S movie, the second kiss is from the R movie, and the kiss in the heart is from the second episode of the second half of the R season.
