  • Yes, Morrisey did indeed say that JAMES were his favourite band . . the best band ever . .

  • there's only one god. and that's morrissey.

  • watch?v=j7EgRZaM95c&NR=1

hope you like our cover of this one :)

  • Does anybody has the chords of this version? if you do, please answer this post.

  • This is dire. If there's one thing The Smiths didn't need associating with its fucking Christian fairy tales

  • There is nothing to compare to The Smiths and there will never be........except Morrissey

  • Thanks for posting, it 's really cool.

Does anyone know if the whole thing is available on dvd or online?

  • Darren Morfitt is perfect on "You're gonna need someone on your side"

  • Adorei, eu amo James, além da voz linda do Tim, a música é linda também.

  • Amazing! love it! but I shouldn't be surprised...its Tim!

  • ssmith how do you know I mean truly know He's not there? I know, I truly know He is, and He cares about us all and Loves us all you and I. I know that's sometimes hard to see always, but He does It's the true. I think the song is great, and the concept is remarkable.

  • It's called being delusional. Keep believing in that invisible man in the sky, all I know is here and now.

  • what utter shit - superstitious crap - someone imaginary on your side - very useful

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!! Mr Booth!!!

  • This song has nothing to do with heaven knows im miserable now. Totally deceptive. Take your mythology and shove it up your anal retentive ass.

  • be patient agressive man! haha, there are two songs, the first is you're gonna need someoone on your side and then heaven knows i'm miserable now begins :)

  • clearly you smug twat you coudnt be bothered watching

    the full vid

  • that sucks

  • You know, I've seen so many good videos in youtube, but this one is exceptional, i've probably watched it over 100 times this week.

What a great cover, thanks a lot for sharing this diamond.

  • He looks like someone you'd see hanging around outside a kids school. It's that moustasche.

  • wraios o Timakos!

  • awesome luv tim booth emotion in his voice

  • ruím demais... péssimo

  • amazing version of classic tune. shame this program was never released on dvd

  • Just download it and burn it. Much easier.

  • ahh man, tim is sexy

  • Thanks for posting the video. Morrissey and James...I'll let others argue who is better; I feel fortunate that I've been able to hear so many of my favorite songs because of them.

  • Why not get Mozza to do it? I like Tim Booth but no-one can sing smiths/mozza songs like the man himself.

  • Morrissey show up in an ensemble? Not on your life! In the immortal words of Tim Booth... 'She's a Star'.

  • did they play 'love will tear us apart' for the crucifixtion scene.

    that would rule'

  • unintentional comedy??

  • this is still superb. great choice in music, well fitted to the story. watch the whole thing i advise it, its great. the liverpool follow up was rubbish in comparison

  • i feel 'huge' fans

    should

    have their autographs cut off

    great stuff

    party in the garden

    dont step on the lines

  • WTF are you talking about badboxey?

Stay off the drugs mate, they don't work!

  • Love James and The Smiths and I love this. But is it only me thinking yikes when he goes for the high note...keep it cool Tim.

  • @DressSmartLookHard Yeah! I actually wasn't paying attention to the vid...only when I heard the weird high tone...I got scared. hahahahahaha

  • by the way - TB is wearing makeup and if hes gay im an austrian paedophile

  • It's called acting, jackass. How about you think about it this way: There's a guy who's taken you under his wing, looked after you and taught you more than you could even dream of. He's given you comfort and friendship, and you just sold his life for £1500. How the hell would you be feeling? Pissed off? Well then.

Sorry the rest of you had to see that.

  • Could anyone tell me the name of the guy who sings before Tim Booth?

  • Dunno

  • All right, then I'll name him Bob Yorke ;P

  • Darren Morfitt

  • Thanks so much! :)

  • He is the actor Darren Morfitt on Morrissey's song from "Your Arsenal" - "You're gonna need someone on your side"

  • Never seen this shit before.Love the way he takes it like a folk song till just at the end he gives it the whole Tim Booth treatment.Respect to Tim and Morrissey and btw who gives a flying fuck if theyre gay or not?

  • Morrisey said James were the best band ever, he wasn't wrong.

  • Spelling Morrissey with one S is like spelling God with a lower case g!

  • Yes a bit like sspplitting hairs.

  • Heheh, awesome. No other city but my beloved Manchester would even think of doing such a thing!

  • please tell me how i can watch it all.........

  • Are u gay?

  • whom d'ya mean?

  • is he gay ?

  • Tim Booth is certainly NOT gay, he's a married man, married to a woman.

  • does anyone know where i can watch or order the whole session`?

  • you also give morrissey some respect for writing these awesome lines... who would've known 15 years they would have this much meaning... but Tim.... you WIN... sing again as only you could.... we miss James!

  • I love Tim, but Moz will always win. Theres a reason he is an icon amongst icons. And by the way James has reformed!

  • sargent sainsbury if your frum tarn youl no who i mean init

  • chords on this version are:

    (capo on 1st fret)

    A | F#m | D | E

the original is something along the lines of

    A | F#m | Bm | DE

  • Anybody tell me what chords that guy is playing to 'heaven knows im miserable now'

    James lasts

  • this is amazing!...

  • I adore tim booth

  • me too!

  • i hope they show it again or it comes out on dvd

  • It's been released on DVD, you can buy it from some BBC-related thing or other.

  • It comes from a re-enactment of the Passion of Christ performed in Manchester city centre on Good Friday 2006, using old songs from the 'madchester' music scene. Holds its own doesnt it? I love it!

  • where it come from this orignally footage?
