Wow hydrophobic thats amazing. Scientists should make tires with a hydrophobic layer. So that wet roads can be gripped to. Would that work, or is it a stupid idea. Please post if you have something to say.

good idea but unforunately the only reason the pygmy gekko doesnt sink is to do with the weight and the hydrophobic skin :)

@jjono1991 Stupid idea... hydrophobic means its water repellent.. kinda like wax.. water runs off it - hence reducing friction - hence your car ends up in a ditch.... sorry to be a smartarse :)
