Even though you need another horse, I wouldn't sell the best thing that has happened to me, which is my best friend. If I had a horse like that who is gorgeous and talented and loves me and who I am like this horse shows for her, I couldn't let him/her go. No matter what the situation, it wouldn't be a hard decision for me.

@Chasing1Dream If i had the choice of keeping Luce i would and he would stay with me till he died, but i dont have the fiancial standing to purchase another horse of Paralympic quality. It took me 9 months to makethe decision to sell him and there have been tears and sobbing at the thought of losing him. But i simply do not have the backing/sponsors to do it by myself and neither do my family, this is the only way i can take the step forward.

the Dark Bay horse, isnt mine and was a one off loan from a very generous owner who would like to compete on her horse :) and selection for the australian team is done on rider/horse combination so i need my own horse or one that i can lease on a full time basis :)

I agree all the Para riders are awesome. Take one of the toughest sports on the planet and take away total body control..... yet they excel!

It is amazing that someone my age has achieved so much and competed at such a high level for 5 years. Hannah seems to be a wonderful person and I would love to see her competing at London 2012. Para-equestrians don't get nearly as much funding & publicity as others but their successes speak volumes so I'll be sharing this in the hope that at least one more person who otherwise wouldn't have can know Hannah's story. Thank you for creating this inspirational piece =]

Exactly, everything comes at a price and even though Hannah has paid a lot already (compared to able bodied people) she is prepared to do that and more to fulfill her dream.
