  • Do you guys have a square taper bottom bracket available?

  • you got a shop in the UK that sells them. Doing a 48 hour charity ride next year and will need all the edge I can get to complete it.

  • @deve8uk Yes, we do have a distribution in the UK. veroli.co.uk/

  • @HawkRacingUSA What if my bearing race inside of my bmx bike BB is oversized? Would your bearings work good?

  • Have to say I have been on a Hawk Racing BB for the past 6 months. This BB is a huge improvement over not only stock BBs but can compete with top of the line ceramic BBs as well. With Hawk Racings 30 day money back offer it is at least worth a shot. Thanks to Hawk Racing for a good product.

  • pls try with a chain on it

  • @tenseken please see the comment we left for @trogedon. Triathlon Magazine Buyers Guide 2011 Page 106 has rated our bottom bracket as a top bottom bracket without being ceramic. All cranks have been set-up using the guide line from the crank company. So nothing has been installed with less pre-load. Feel free to try it yourself and see the difference. Hawk Racing offers a 30 day money back Guarantee if you are not satisfied with the product.

  • I'm a big skeptic when it comes to "Snake Oil" marketing.... meaning NO... I do not have a magic hologram wrist band that makes me one with the universe. That being said... I purchased the Bottom Bracket and pullies for my Quintanna Roo CD.01, and noticed a difference immediately. These are the best I've used so far, and I am switching my other bikes (ceramic) to Hawks Racing as well- Great Product. Try it, and you'll be singing it's praises too-

  • Hawk makes really nice stuff there is no question, not going to bash it. A buddy has a bb of his and he seems to like it. As has been pointed out the video is meaningless in a watts saved scenario b/c the bottom bracket is NOT under load. Zinn did a test for VeloNews to debunk the friction marketing schemes. Some say it's a grease issue, others a seal and yet more a bearing issue. The difference between all the major brands was less than .2 watts. under load. End of story.

  • You do not need to relube our bearings every time you ride. Service free bearings for long lasting performance. Our bearings are designed to perform with low friction with or without load. Visit our Facebook Fan Page for Customer comments.

  • @HawkRacingUSA SO you're saying they dont have to be ceramic to be the best? How?

full ceramic Bearings vs. ceramic bearings vs. regular What's your take on this?

  • @HawkRacingUSA SO you're saying they dont have to be ceramic to be the best? How?

full ceramic Bearings vs. ceramic bearings vs. regular Type this in to see the video on youtube. What's your take on this?

  • picking this up soon !

  • Here some extra feedback! Instead of leaving negative comments about a product you have clearly no idea, try our products and you will see that you will be happy. Not only with the performance of our bearings, also of our customer service. We have not installed the cranks any different than you would do at home or a mechanic in a shop. All specs have been followed from Shimano in this video. BMX cranks even spin nice with chain and our BB. Ask our customers or try it yourself.

  • @HawkRacingUSA

just like to say free spin is nice. Does that measure up to load (under pedal power)?

Or do you have to lube these bearings every time you go out?

No matter- what if any is there a difference in watts being used by the rider, other than the feel?

    thx

  • @mekore Why should we loosen the bearing pre-load in our video if we want that our customers are happy when installing our product? Everything has been specs to Shimano recommendations. No reason to "fake" this video if we want customer happy. That even TREK looks into using our bearings instead of Shimano or other brands has proven to us, that we have a great product. Customers can confirm that too.

  • What is the ft/lb pre load on the crank bolt. That has alot to do with how nicely a BB will spin or not...no mention to that little tid bit. Would have been nice. You can take a sweet BB and make it hard to turn over with too much pressure from you crank bolt.

  • This demonstration is completely misleading - if you rinsed the lube out of a shimano bb, it would spin for that long as well. The important measure of bb bearings is the friction while loaded, as well as it's durability of course, and this video doens't speak to either of these issues in any way. Good marketing, though.

  • If you rinse the lube out of a Bearing, it will spin nice if you leave the seals away too. Issue here is that the bearing won't last very long and it will 100% not last riding on the dirt. Our lube is a special lube and the bearings are sealed on both sides as well. Service free and are also more durable than ceramic. So, the video is not misleading, because it shows that our bearings have low friction and that is what we wanted to show - How a BB should spin!

  • @wintercannon Why should we rinse the lube our of our bearing? We give a year warranty without any service and without lube, that would be impossible. This video as been filmed with our "out of the Box" bottom bracket, installed to Shimano specs. Put a chain on and ride, no other things needed. Nothing has been modified to make this BB spin any different than the over 4000 we have sold in 2010.

  • Thats Smooth!

  • @MrZakkD Who cares really it'll get nowhere without a chain!

  • @trogedon That is right. You get nowhere without a chain, but the video is to show the friction of our bottom bracket, not the friction of the drive train that would incl. all the other parts. Wind Tunnel Tests are made by companies for wheels without a bicycle and athletes still believe those numbers are correct or frames are tested without a rider, but with a rider it would change EVERYTHING. Still athletes believe it, but you get nowhere either right? Just something to think about!
