  • Best ending of 2009. Period.

  • I WAS THERE. IT WAS SIMPLY AMAZING

  • :')

  • during that last huge note, i asked myself at least five times "are they ever going to breathe!?!"

  • When I saw this live at Drums Along the Rockies, this part sent me into hysterics - I was crying, it was so amazing!!!!!!!!!

  • @mrhavoc4 agreed. it was a girl tho ;]

  • @denverbroncosXXII I would be soooooooooo horny at this moment... :) and I wouldnt be embarrassed

  • @denverbroncosXXII Erin is her Name

  • @Excapted I believe it's Eileen

  • @denverbroncosXXII Yap, youre right, sorry for that. I was sure it was Erin, but she play mello not trumpet

  • I was there for semis and finals. Both nights, every single person in the stadium was on their feet screaming and cheering madly from the beginning of this push to the end of the show. SCV threw it down. Best DCI moment in the past few years.

  • I was never able to hear this show in person. but even watching the live stream on the net i was out of my seat for the final push. SCV FOREVER!

  • god that was so amazing at finals...i just wish i could have heard it....everyone couldn't help themselves and just started cheering...

  • Ever since I first heard Appalachian Spring, I thought it would be an amazing show for a marching band. Every time I heard it, I saw marching drill in my head. It was the best show ever, but I knew it would never happen. But this year, as SCV came into the company front I was in shock. It was MY show! The drill I had always envisioned was happening! My dream literally came true! Needless to say, I was bawling and screaming. I love this show. I love SCV.

  • Dont overhype, but SCV is still beating everything! SCV for LIFE

  • That is one of the best final pushes in the history of ever!!!!! I get chills just thinking about it!!

  • OMG I cried at the end of the push!!!

  • with all due respect man, if you weren't screaming your head off at this part then something's wrong with you

  • I concur.

  • @denverbroncosXXII First time I heard this show was when I bought the finals CD. I felt like I was going to cry. Thanks for posting!

  • @hbdonboy

Haha "like an Oakland Raider fan". That's a special kind of ahole there, peeps.

  • Well I would like to double-dare anybody who is "not an emotional guy" and remain seated while viewing this video.

When I marched HNC last year, I heard this part of the show and I thought "Oh wow." I wish I could have seen this live and in person....

  • How epic would it be to be the trumpet on the 50? Man...

  • I was so fortunate to see this live (in Utah of all places). The push brought everyone to their feet and brought half of us to tears. Favorite show of all time... reminds me why I decided to be a music major :)

  • @Bandkid54 I was there too, I was watching from over where all the corps vendors were, and it was still incredible.

  • by far the best part of dci '09.

  • I was fortunate enough to see this show when they came to Gadsden. When they did their final push, I had to fight back the tears as I had a flashback to the closer of the 2006 show of the Jacksonville State University Marching Southerners. We played "Appalachian Spring" with "Simple Gifts" after our drum break. We played it in the same key as they did and even had a push like theirs. When I saw them, I was in awe.

  • I cried EVERY time I saw this show live, which was quite often...and I don't cry a lot....

  • i cried a little bit when they played their last chord before going back field at finals. Just a gorgeous sound that can only come from the depths of your soul. Epitome of Epic.

  • I lost my voice during these 40 seconds. <3

  • Dude. I'm so bummed I didn't get to see this live. Computer speakers do not do the SCV hornline justice.

  • I totally agree. I saw them at Drums along the Rockies in Denver and nearly died out of joy for their sound... but man I would have loved to see them at DCI finals!

  • SIMPLY MAJESTIC

Another "moment" to add to the treasure chest !!! Thank you Vanguard

  • You sir had the most perfect seats.

    VANGUARD!!!

  • yeah, unfortunately people kept standing up in front of me. i think the clip still turned out ok.

  • my seats didnt really get sound. i wish i had these seats

  • these weren't actually seats though, i was just sitting on one of the staircases. got yelled at by an event staff for it 4 times as well ;)

  • wooow im the one in front of the guy in white lol

and yah the staff told me a couple times too

  • Who cares about the event staff during the greatest moment I think for Drum Corps in 2009. Great video! Thank you!

  • What yard line were you on?

  • 15-20
