@TW157ER Please stop being foolish where worldwide there are many different types of doctors,the ones you quote are western medicine/drugs and western doctors where infact cause hospital errors,misdiagnosis,malpractic­e in the hundreds of thousands per year.Dr.Barbara Starfield,MD recored in JAMA that over 106000 deaths per year are due because of medical/drug doctors.I was scammed by 3 dermatologists and one of them prescribed Accutane when later had a massive lawsuit.MD's are criminals !

In China the dominant model of primary care is western supplemented with TCM. In India, its also western supplemented with Ayurveda. In the English speaking countries it's western. Iridology, coffee enemies, colonic irrigation, an obsession with candida albicans etc is just naturopathic nonsense.

When all else has failed Accutane often works and the risks are prefereable to being pock marked for the rest of your life. @TheFriendlyEngineer All MB BS syllabi contain units on nutrition. Practitioners of "alternative medicine" also cause inadvertant deaths. As an example consider liver failure.  There are deaths due to liver failure as a result of prescription medicine and herbal medicine. There are more deaths due to prescription medicine simply because more people use pharamaceuticals than herbal medications. Herbs too are "drugs" they don't work by magic.

There are also indicated incidences of drastic surgical treatment as a result of the Accutane treatment you shill.Hoffman La Roche was sued over 25 million for fraud.

More people have benefitted from Accutane than have suffered severe adverse reactions. There are adverse reactions and even fatalities (most often from liver failure) as a result of herbal preparations too (eg. Comfrey, Kava, Germander). So what? If you know how to use PubMed you can retrieve adverse reaction reports, toxicology reports and papers on drug induced liver failure that cover both prescription drugs and herbal preparations. Any medicinal preparation whether pharmaceutical or herbal has the potential to poison someone.

@TheFriendlyEngineer It is you that has no idea what you are talking about. Most drugs -- phrama and herbal -- are metabolised by the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. A small proportion of the population (in the order of 1 in 20,0000) are born with certain genetic polymorphisms related to this enzyme family that render them poor metabolizers of a wide range of drugs (including herbs). Clinical trials usually have n=5000 so they will not detect these poor metabolisers.

Did you actually watch the videos? If you did you would realize that the whole point of the videos is to tell people what training a qualified complementary therapist should have. Naturopathic Doctors are Doctors of Naturopathy and have received significant medical training in a certified academic institution. We too disagree with people going to unqualified practitioners. That you deprecate the notion of objectivity advertises that you have NOTHING in common with conventional medical practice. Naturopathy is bunkum. One of the main diagnostic methods of naturopathy is _iridology_ -- a practice which has no evidentiary basis. There is merit in herbalism but naturopathy is just junk.
