I would like to ask you, please: what are the sound options on this guitar. It must be a T A classic. (do you have any single coil - in series mode?) I didnt notice any humm .. are these scoils low in humm?

I see you are playing an Anderson now? Awesome guitars eh? My guitar teacher just got his second not too long ago, he now has 2 strat models. The playability and tone on TA's are out of this world, glad to see you playing one. Great playing, you've improved so much over the past year and a half it is scary. Keep it up, I hear a lot of Robben Ford in your phrasing which is a VERY good thing. Hopefully we can meet up sometime down the road and jam.

I mainly learn by playing along with CD's. Some of my favourites at the moment are Matt Schofield's Ear to the Ground and Scott McKeon Can't take no more. Thanks :D

he is probably improvising, that is what you should try to do too, instead of playing other peoples stuff, but there is nothing wrong with that, but improvising will make your ear get better

At that exact point in time I was trying to get like a slap bass sound. I do it a bit differently to the traditional slap bass style. I kind of get under the string with my finger so it slaps really loudly back on to the fret when i let go. Quite hard to explain but simple really.
