destroy the aks there are plenty but dam dont destroy the dang bolt actions i know for a fact id buy um yall should bring them home. although i know how bad the Iraqis treat their guns and how the rig up a gun in their basement but still dang
De-mil (non-fireing original) RPG-7s sell for about $1000-1200 in the US. A cut up AKM will sell for $350 w/barrel. A cut up russian AKM will sell for twice that much. A cut up Russian AK47 will sell for close to $1000. And yes, these are just prices for cut up guns destined to be scrap that people piece back together into semi-autos.
These guns will most likely end up in Mexico in the hands of cartels, because that is how our govt works. If there is no threat, there is no fear.... So they must make the fear! And they do......
War is just a way to make money. I bet most if not all of those tools are sold back to different local villages that are pissed off at the US to keep people "Playing" the game of War. Your a terrorist, Im a terrorist Your a communist , Im a communist, whats the difference? We are all just tools in the eyes of a corporatocracy, Right? Imagine, the ammount of money we could use by bringing these weapons home and selling them on the private market. Half of the deficit would be paid off.
but no.... instead they destroy these weapons. -.- we still haven't seen a drop of oil that Bush promised.
@agumon12 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO they should have never destroyed them. there was no point to that. i agree 100% with that we should have sold them here at discount price.
In most cases, those weapons are modified and deemed unsafe for use, which is why they're destroyed...
Also, the metal from those discarded weapons is melted down to create building materials used to rebuild homes and such, so they are being put to better use than they were originally.
@agumon12 Seems like the cost of bringing em home would jack the prices way up not to mention the government would have to do all the bureaucratic crap like registration and ensuring functionality. Although i agree and hate to see a fine weapon destroyed your tax dollars would be paying to bring them back and then you'd have to buy em. Unfortunately this is the cheapest way to deal with it.
wtf just bring em to my house

@gunmanchris1 the cheapest way to deal with it is let their own government deal with it.
markssite 2 months ago
@markssite Perhaps i should have said cheapest secure way to do it. I'd rather see em destroyed by us than ending back up in the hands of insurgents.
gunmanchris1 2 months ago
@gunmanchris1 very true. but remember we arent fighting their military or government.
