It's amazing that not one of the many vids I've watched on this actually run the jeans they've distressed through the wash to show us how the finished product actually looks. The torn edges will look different, and the bleached areas will look different. So come on, surely there's someone doing these that has a washer and dryer close at hand...
easiest way to distress your jeans without cutting your pants with sissors, or sanding away at your jeans for hours, use a combination of a cheese grater, a razor, and sandpaper. The cheese grater makes that 'natural' looking hole, and the razor and sandpaper provide the fringe and the fray. Hope that helps!
Nice tutorial :) Could you model the product next time though? It woiuld have been nice to see the total, complete jean and how they looked on and stuff..
