I'm a Contractor ( Frame and Trim ) for 30 yrs ,when they let the mexicans come in it killed the trades ,price's dropped to the point where I couldn't pay a living wage to anyone and with the work comp @ 29.7 % per hundred and gen lib plus the taxes . I couldn't compete I let 14 guys go and now @ 54 I took the last 6000.00 I had and bought a 5th wheel RV and stuck it in a park ,Rent and elect run around 540.00 a month and now I work under the table doing handyman shit.
By the time you add up campsite fees ($12 a night being a low rate), gasoline, insurance etc. the 1 bedroom apartment may be the cheaper option. That rig isn't going to last much longer and if the engine or tranny goes it's off to the junk yard. And to the Idiots who are bashing them for being disabled, one can only hope you get your chance to suffer a disability. And to those who say they should just get a job... oing what and who will hire them? No phone, no address, no references, no job.
