  • where is the next vid? part 2?

  • @MrPaulroxx YT would not allow this series to upload normally, so I had to find another way. Check out this vid and the links: watch?v=x36-boa_yK0

You can download the other part. I have to finish the series.

  • @smaniz LOL. Block zone

  • Well done.

  • @ytuseruber Thanks

  • what do you think about end times, CRoadwarrior? You think this is it?

  • @PapaWilk Well, the "end times" or "last times" started back in the first century, as indicated by 1 John 2:18. So we are closer to the end of the end, but we're not there yet.

  • @MrJonesHimself I watched it and gave it a chance, and found it flawed logically and in other areas. Now if you want to talk about "close minded," take a look at yourself. When even atheists will admit that Bill made mistakes, you have to wonder what's YOUR problem in not being able to admit the problems in this movie.

  • You people are morons!!!!!

  • @goba44 Wow, what a sound logical argument. LOL.

  • olh1152. You are being silly now. I guess you forgot that there ARE "virgin" births in nature, known as parthenogenesis. Your Biblical ignorance is again showing. No "angel" impregnated Mary.

  • /facepalm

  • Clothesline

  • Repeating the same answer over and over again is very typical of people who put A God or Jeus before common sense. Your very very weak minded, and I hope you do see sense before realising you have dedicated your life to a fairytale.

Good luck CRoadwarrior, I hope you find the strength to stand up in life on your own two feet.

  • darklorddogg. Exactly. Repeating the same old refuted crap about Jesus being some copy of people He's not even a copy of is typical of people who don't read updated information and don't think for themselves. I am far from weak minded. Look in the mirror for that one. I do stand on my own two feet, which were given to me by my mom and dad, and my heavenly Father.

  • Beddou (Fot), was a god of the orient born 1027 BC, his mother was a virgin, he was born of royal blood. The king sought to kill him at birth, because he felt the newborn infant posed a future threat to his Throne. The god child was saved by shepherds, and lived in the desert till he reached the age of thirty, at which time he commenced teaching his spiritual doctrine to that religion.

  • darklorddogg. All the nonsense you post has been refuted. Look up Christian Think Tank the articles on the false copycat theories. You will be enlightened.

  • Buddha, of India, born on December 25, his mother's name was Maya (similar to Mary) she was a virgin. He was immaculately conceived, and at birth, he announced that he was a savior to the world. His birth was announced by a star. At his birth, he was visited by Wise Men who declared that they had seen Signs of his birth, that is to say, signs of the royal birth (coincidence?).

  • darklorddogg. All the nonsense you post has been refuted. Look up Christian Think Tank the articles on the false copycat theories. You will be enlightened. Buddha's mom had kids BEFORE Buddha, so could not have been a "virgin." LOL. You need to check your sources.

  • Horus, of Egypt, born on December 25. His mother, Isis, gave birth to him in the swamp, she was warned by the god Thoth, to flee and conceal the child from the evil Set. Set had killed the father of Horus, whose name was Osiris, and sought to kill Horus, |also. Isis was able to keep Horus hidden from Set, till he (Horus) grew to manhood. Horus sought to avenge the murder of his Father, and made war against Set, and defeated him.

  • darklorddogg. All the nonsense you post has been refuted. Look up Christian Think Tank the articles on the false copycat theories. You will be enlightened.

  • Well, for someone like myself, who is trying to understand why people believe in God, this video goes a long way to push me further away from anything divine.

Im on the fence about all of religion, but people like you do not help your own cause. Dismissing facts such as the huge similarities between the birth of Christ, and several other "pagan" religions in the way you did, just makes you look ignorant and blind, and not someone who has anything other than pure blind faith in their hearts.

  • darklorddogg. That says more about you than it does me and my work. That's because even an avowed atheist on YouTube, who goes by the name of "caseagainstfaith," agrees with me that Maher is wrong on the alleged "huge similarities" between the birth of Christ and other pagan religions. You are simply misinformed on these issues, and part of what I'm doing is dispelling the ignorance and misconceptions. Watch and learn.

  • There are very little similarities between Jesus and the pagan figures.

Bill Maher seemed like an intelligent man before this movie. :/

  • The similarities are huge, they alone must bring the Christian faith into question.

A bit of common sense would make this plain, but then I guess all that kinda goes out the window when you start to believe in a "God".

  • No, darkloarddogg, the similarities are not "huge." It is obvious you have not truly studied this. And certainly none of this brings Christian faith into question. When you research these similarity claims from primary or more credible source material, you find that these "similarities" disappear, or that pop books exaggerate the similarities, or that later claims are actually COPIES of prior Christian documents. I suggest you do some serious study.

  • Speed and Tyrone are cool guys. Do more of them.

  • "The statement of faith is based on a sound view of Scripture."

Scripture is used as fact? No wonder you have no idea what you're talking about. There is no evidence that scripture is anything more than words written by men to control people in ancient times. Believing it without any real proof just shows how gullible you are.

I'm sure you'll counter with some faith based info, have fun with that. I don't take fairy tales literally.

  • unyobro. The fact that you assume I don't know what I'm talking about, despite the fact that I've studied these things in more detail than you and for a longer time, shows why you are in unbelief. Saying there is no evidence does not prove it. I merely means you are in ignorance, and ignorance is not bliss. I don't take fairy tales literally either, and there's no proof the Bible is fairy tale. There's evidence from science, archaeology, linguistics, and history supporting the Bible.

  • You just showed how ignorant you are. Somehow you magically know how educated I am? I guess religious people are allowed to just make up facts to suit thier arguements. You're a fool and I hope someday you realize how wrong you actually are. Don't bother commenting back to me, I'm done with your nonsense.

  • unyobro. It doesn't take long for me to tell when people are Biblically ignorant. And that's one thing I am not. But you on the other hand are incredibly ignorant of the Bible and the facts which support its veracity. The true nonsense is not coming from me.

  • I enjoy your thoughtful review, but I find it ironic.

You faulting Mayer for starting with his conclusion is valid (though, that is how every documentary is made), but that is exactly what theological schools do (like Biola). They have a statement of faith that they start with, and then work backwards.

And as for Mayer only talking to select sources... what about Lee Strobel? In his books, he NEVER interviews mainstream scientists, or skeptical philosophers.

So these faults go both ways.

  • Glad you enjoyed the review, but there is no true irony here. Maher (not Mayer) started with a distorted and unwarranted conclusion. And no, schools like Biola do not start with a conclusion be start from the facts and come to a conclusion based on those facts. They do not "work backwards." The statement of faith is based on a sound view of Scripture. As for Lee Strobel, I have not readd any of his books. But I doubt the word "never" applies, and the Tu Quoque fallacy will not help you.

  • Are You still on YT? :D Why, God why? :D

  • Of course. The warrior is still here because deception and distortion are still rampant.

  • Damn. You are faster than Thors thunders :d

  • LOL...Only when I'm online simultaneously with others.

  • Bill Maher may be bias but you're just uninformed and in denial. You talk about how Maher has a preconcieved notion but you in turn cite two gospels as evidence? Unreal, it's almost like this is meant to be satire it's so ridiculous.

  • No, unyobro, Bill is both biased and uninformed. Go to the page of "caseagainstfaith" (an atheist) and he will tell you the same thing. He made a video response to my review of Maher and AGREED with me on certain facts. I cited the Gospels because a) they are ancient historical documents and b) Maher himself used them. What is truly unreal is your ignorance of the veracity of the Gospels.

  • You are one of the most brainwashed morons I've ever encountered. Have fun believing in lies created by men to control simple people like you. At least you're getting attention from like minded simpletons.

  • LOL...I think you need to look into the mirror to see who's really brainwashed and simple-minded. I expose an atheist's ignorance and dissemination of disinformation, and all you can do is criticize me. Fasciinating, as Spock would say.

  • your outfit is more ridiculous.

  • Oh? Most people think it's cool. But I don't wear it for you. I say it's cool. Ha ha ha. You know you like it and wish you had one!

  • i get it out of the mouths of 2 or 3 witnesses shall a thing be established

    also road

the teachers dnt like to read the real textbooks from 25 - 35 years ago and b4

bcuz they incrimintally add millions of years exponentially as each year passes

history and science also they gave god credit for life and existince

but of course the edu. staff of today are the same people that made us take prayer outta school

a little unbalanced scales with their indoct.

  • And he's still fighting, it's normal - christians way of life (lol)

  • justpaul62. There is no real point when you can't even get basic facts straight. Even an atheist on YouTube responded to this video posted through another medium by saying that Maher got facts wrong. Entertainment? LOL. You mean deceptivetainment, if I make up a word. The true fools are those who don't know how foolish they are, and who ignore facts and make "entertainment" excuses for ignorance and deception.

  • bill maher consulted sources he wanted to consult just to support his own claims? thats religulous, seriously the people hes talked too in the film were all advent supporters of their faiths who agreed to explain to bill their belief system and why they believe the way they do. he didnt get athiests to act like they were believers he got the believers themselves. there is no trickery accept the brainwashing of these churches. i believe in God but not in the churches.

  • Bill Maher was very selective in who he interviewed. He didn't interview ANY New Testament historical scholars. Not one. Why? He didn't even interview any historians. Why? He hand-picked people and situations that he knew he could make fun of. If he had gone to some scholars and historians, they would have made a fool out of him and the movie wouldn't have been funny.

  • Are You trying to be a another prophet.. in that suit? lol Bill Maher's movie is a great answer why people like U have to avoid religion. In any form. Brainwashing BS :] What else. If someone is saying in one sentence 20 times YOU KNOW, for me U r just not enough educated to speak about those things :] Leave it and go back to church to live in superstitions.

  • netheista. I am what I claim to be - the Christian Road Warrior. Bill Maher's movie was a joke filled with its own fallacies and brainwashing, as even another atheist has admitted. As for education, I'd put mine up against Maher's or yours any day. Not that it's all about education anyway. But I am far from uneducated.

  • symelian. And please explain to me how it is somehow impossible for an omnipotent God to create a woman from anything He wants? lol.

  • symelian. Reading and understanding are not synonymous. The variety of denominatioins does not prove that there is not a correct and wrong way to interpret the Bible. The Bible, if investigated in detail, proves itself far above any other alleged sacred texts. You must take literally what IS clearly literal by contextual investigation.

  • AndrewSummers. No, my argument about having two hands is not stupid. Arguing from superficial similarities regarding Christian doctrine and pagan religions IS. The problem is, the stories are NOT the "SAME." Try reading the actual stories instead of propaganda atheist books.

  • If i hade to put my beliefs/oponions/thougths under one description, I'd call myself a Rationalist. I believe there nothing wrong with witholding judgement on topics and ideas without proper evidence.

Does god exist? no one can prove that he does nor that he dosen't so I guess I just don't know.

is the earth 6000 years old? no. because the evidence is so overwhelming that it's common sense.

  • sgbolo. People have weird understanding of what "proper evidence" is. Often it is very subjective and convenient. Actually, God can prove His existence and has done so. If you ignore or dismiss the evidence, that's on you. Who said the earth is 6000 years old? The Bible doesn't. The age of the earth is not important here.

  • you make so many bad points that I can seem to fit them on this comment, and I really don't wanna waste my time. do you believe the bible word for word?? what church do you follow? The message and point is very simple!!

    Noas ark = BS

    walking on water = BS

man living to 900 = BS

    and much more BS

  • sgbolo. Bad points? I don't think so. You THINK they are bad. The Bible is God's Word. I don't "follow" any church.

Noah's Ark=BS? Read up on it. It's clear you haven't.

Walking on water=BS? Pondskaters do it, why can't God? LOL

Man living to 900=BS? Really? And you know this because you've studied the genetics of age? LOL.

  • While biased, Religulous is an attempt at opening peoples eyes to what a source of power religion is to some "leaders" (like ex-president Bush). It is used to rule people that have been raised to believe god actually exists and that some PERSON is somehow carrying his voice.. The fact that the bible is riddled with plot holes and errors from countless edits and translations is a secondary point to Maher. Of course he is human, and like the PEOPLE that wrote the bible, he makes mistakes.

  • slothmag. Religulous is a joke and a failed attempt to influence the ignorant. Even some atheists point out Maher's errors. The Bible is not riddled with plot holes and errors. That is another statement made by the ignorant or deceptive.

  • Before making a movie to bash people's beliefs, Maher should have made sure that he understood the religions he was making fun of.

  • True

  • Maher repeatedly says it is not people's beliefs that is the main question. Even I, as an engineer, atheist and realist cannot 100% refute the existence of your god, in the same way that you cannot refute the existence of anything non-existant.. Neither can you prove that any god exists. The main concern is what/who lies between you and your god and what a powerful tool that relationship is to, among other things, wage war on behalf of you, since you are on god's side. You are being led astray!

  • slothmag. I'm glad you are wise enough to admit you cannot refute the existence of God. As for proving any God exists, let me ask this. Can God prove His own existence? He already has, as recorded in Ps. 19:1-4 and Rom. 1:20. Even unbelieving scientists can see evidence of design of this God, thus proving the objective nature of the evidence. So, you have no argument, and I am not being led astray! You need to open your eyes and heart.

  • I in no way admit the existence of your god, I just said there is no scientific way to prove that something that does not exist, in fact does not exist. However, it IS ALWAYS possible to prove the existence of something that in fact exists. Meaning there is no way for me to prove that you are wrong, however, there are overwhelming indications that you are not right. You cannot use what it says in the bible as evidence for the bible being true, that is an elementary research principle.

  • slothmag. I don't recall saying you admit anything. It's "always" possible to prove the existence of something that in fact exists? Really? Overwhelming indications I am not right? Nonsense. I can use what's in the Bible as evidence of the Bible being true, since the Bible is not one book written by one author. Otherwise, you can't use a biology book as evidence of biological truth.

  • A biology book, describing let's say evolution, has references from other works and scientific research, reports and other factual sources. It is not written with thousands of contradictions and is not based on hearsay like the bible. Therefore one can use other sources to confirm the material in the biology book any time. Except for a FEW historical facts, like emperor names and country/city names and so on, the bible is the single source for most of its fairy tales.

  • slothmag. That's precisely my point. If you truly know the contents of the Bible, you know that it is NOT a single book by a single source, and it certainly is not "fairy tales." The exceptions are much more than a "FEW." You grossly understate the issue. Thousands of contradictions? Depending on your ignorance or level of knowledge, a biology book has many "contradictions" as well. Hearsay? Like what? Eyewitnesses reporting what they saw is not "hearsay."

  • Maher repeatedly says it is not people's beliefs that are in question. Even I, as an atheist, engineer and realist can't 100% refute the existence of your god, as it is impossible to refute the existence of something non-existant. Maher says the problem is what/who is between you and your god. That dangerous relationship can be used to e.g. wage war on your behalf, because you're on god's side. Thereby, your beliefs hurt innocent other people. Freedom means the right to say you don't believe!

  • Maher proceeds from false assumptions and assertions. He doesn't even have a good grasp of Christian doctrine to even criticize it. More people have been hurt in the name of unbelief than Christian belief. We build hospitals, nursing homes, homeless shelters and schools. I have yet to see "First Atheist Hospital." So I don't want to hear that warped crap about my beliefs allegedly hurting innocent people. We help infinitely more than we've ever hurt.

  • Bush said "with gods help" or "god be with you". You don't think thats a mind manipulation technique? He's using your beliefs as a tool!. Bet youre not thinking "If god is on our side, who could be on theirs?" The enemy being MEN like you and me, also supposedly created by the same god? Wheres the logic in that? Don't even try to get away from the church's history of burning and eradicating entire villages. The last witch convicted acc. to the 1735 witchcraft act in gods name in the UK, 1944!

  • slothmag. Regardless of what you might try to say, the fact remains that more people have been helped by Christianity than hurt. Nothing can controvert this fact, which continues today.

  • after watching the whole video all i can say is : the Bible is not proof of anything .... it's a mainly symbolic text --- so using the Bible to disprove anything is in itself as u put it a "logical fallacy" and as u base most of ur arguments on it u can't disprove Mahers statements ...

  • symelian. The Bible is not proof of anything? If that's the case, then NO book or volume of books is proof of anything. Mainly a symbolic text? Clearly you've not read it properly. You should not use logic terminology if you don't know logic.

  • Err... is the tale of Alice in Wonderland proof of anything?

I think 1 of those shoulder spikes must have accidentally pithed you in the back of your head.

Logic; which according to the bible includes:

    1) talking snakes

    2) a human created from the rib of another human being

    3) heavenly appointed living quarters inside very large fish

and the granddaddy of them all - a jewish carpenter / master of the Universe.

    Poor christian fools :(

    You are a self-lobotomized mind-coward for jesus.

  • atrumira. Comparing Alice in Wonderland with the Bible is a logical fallacy known as faulty analogy.

    1. talking snake (singular)

    2. God can create from nothing, let alone a rib

    3. Whales are indeed large enough to carry a human

    4. Yes, Jesus was a Jewish carpenter and Master of the Universe.

Poor unbelieving fools, walking in darkness stumbling over everything while thinking they see.

  • I haven't seen the movie but religion is bullshit

  • NitsuaNaed. You might be right about "religion," but Jesus is not any kind of bull. But Maher's movie is full of it. LOL.

  • I've heard mixed reviews. probably will be too lazy to watch it anyways haha.

  • wow -- a comedy is full of bull ... u must be a genius....

  • don't you hate stereotypes?

  • Yep

  • i actually agree with you that Bill Maher didn't do much to find true discussion, allthough i'm an atheist... it's clear that the movie is made for comical reasons... Anyway, what i actually wanna say is tha i love your sunglasses :P
