@cupcakewhorexo once you get a job like that, you don't leave. who is going to pay above $20.00 an hour just to serve peanuts and drinks. as far as safety, they are usually the first onesto jump out of the plane for safety. i don't see how can an old lady help a 300 lbs man to safety, is just not going to happen.

@tonapu 300 lb people don't usually fly. If they do, flight attendants can handle it. If an airplane doesn't turn into a fireball when it crashes, there's a good chance that most will survive. That's mostly due to the flight attendants knowing what to do. As far as the pay, yes they might get paid $20 an hour, for the 3 hours the aircraft is in the air. Then they have an overnight stay a long ways from home, four days a week. So it takes a special, hardworking person to be a flight attendant.

Madonnaboy, yeah the uniforms are nice but the uniforms are a piece are trash made in China that don't hold up. They are made of a very cheap material that within a week wearing the uniform it was already falling apart. Seriously, not kidding

To NWA f/a's....try life without a union. It is really very easy and a great work environment. I have 17 years and feel totally safe with my job. We can always vote it in later. My guess is it is pretty hard to get rid of! You look great in the uniforms. Welcome to the NEW Delta.

The red looks good. Too many airlines throughout the world use the same navy blue color. It can be boring. Continental, US AIR, American, Lufthansa, Air France, and too many others to count.

KLM's light blue, Emirates burgundy, and Singapore's purple are just a few unique uniforms. The red will set Delta apart, and it look good on the women in a Uhura type way.

Good to see that an American carrier is bringing some level of glamour back to the skies. Good job Delta. The red uniform in particular is pretty hot stuff. Now if American and United can just shake free of that tired and boring Navy look that makes the women look like men, then we'd be good to go.

Actually NW bought Delta but, the Delta brand was and is better known throughtout the world so it was wiser to keep the name Delta and get rid of Northwest brand.

Together in style, more like together in disaster. Not only do the red dresses look like a bath robe my mother would wear they will also remind passengers of how much money the new airline will bleed. The male F/A uniform makes any male F/A who wears it look gay, which a lot of them aren't. Whoever thought vests made F/As look professional was on crack.

I really hope Delta doesn't start flying Airbuses... It'll ruin Delta's Boeing trend. They should at least lease them to another airline like Jetblue or some other airline that uses airbuses.

dont worry DAL will always be a BA customer. if you remem way back when. DAL, AMR, CAL made public stmts making "large BA" orders. Then the EU jumped all over BA put them in a bind when BA bought out McD. Doug.

DALs stuck with those Airbutt planes in the short term. DAL wont get much 'cause NWA really has an OLD/DATED fleet which incl: DC 9

They could get something for those ugly A330s

Look at JAL they bought out JAS which was an ALL Airbutt. JALs stuck w/those planes & will fly them out

Passengers love the airbuses as they are very passenger friendly with lots of aisle room. And most of the crews enjoy flying the buses...So Delta needs to keep them!
