He's screwed up in terms of his perception of the housing market. But, the guy has saved our butts by decreasing the cost of borrowing and pushing up lending. He stabilized the commercial paper market. He probably kept a number of foreign markets from collapse by lending to foreign central banks.
There are big questions about liquidity. This stuff is unprecedented. But this guy is very bright, courageous, foresighted, and independent...
