  • avevo 10anni,me la ricordo benissimo come la partita che segnava una svolta al calcio azzurro; era appena finita l'era dei "messicani" Riva,Rivera e Albertosi e iniziava l'era Bearzot con Zoff,Antognoni Causio...

  • Nice to see the football artist Johan Cruyff doing a job on the negative Italians, good stuff.

  • la holanda de los 70 era un gran conjunto

  • I remember our young new Italy in the cage of lions, we feared to get 0-6, as Milan did by Ayax few months before. Instead, we played very well, scored and were denied a clear penalty.

But in the second half the lions wake up, great saves of Zoff and, as Martellini says in the video, there was nothing any more of the italian team.

Eventually, we were happy to finish only 1-3.

  • first time of great Antognoni on Italy team...the beginning of new era till to win on Spain'82 ,but Holland was amazing team and fantastic players...Cruijff,Neskens,Kroll my favourite wen a was child...

  • It's true, it's a nonsense to criticise Holland for a worse exibition of a referee. Holland was surely the best team in that period but Italy made a good first half of the game. Our national team was trying to be rebuilt after the disaster in WC74. The commentary of the "mytthos" Nando Martellini says that our team doesn't exist anymore just before the third goal. But i can't forget real unfair foul made by Neeskens, ignored by referee and linesmen. With actual TV test not possib

  • nonsense, sorry but holland deserved winning

  • One of dirtiest & most shamefull fixed matches of all times

Italy was winning the game but Holland stole it thanks to corrupt russian referee Kasakov who got radiated from UEFA after this match ........

  • @Trulyloyale whenever Italy lose a game its because of corruption - what a load of shit....you're getting mixed up, it's the Italian league that has a history of corruption and fixed results.

  • @Resenbrink Your stupid and childish comment is so typical of any dummy australian guy when is so retarded to pretend to debate over a sport he can't even spell the correct name FOOTBALL just to make everyone a little skilled laugh !

Sorry x your chicken mind's falling in such a pathetic way this time, but in reality it's just the opposite of what you ignorantelly said : whenever Italy WINS a game that must due to corruption or luck , despite history of football tells just the opposite ..!

  • As for this game particularly , I suggest to you to ask any even a little skilled football supporter who knows even only 50% of football rules what kinda incredible , 1way minded & driven, improbable mistakes that BRIBED referee made and ALL in favour of Netherlands , not mentioning his ridiculous and partial attitude and behaviour during the game to the dutch team.

I also suggest you to type the word google and check why he was radiated by UEFA 2 days after that corrupt game

  • and after that you need to look at Italian league after 2006 to learn that it's 100 times cleaner and less corrupt than the spanish or , even better, thatn the english premierleague which since years is the dirtiest , most corrupt, most fixed football league of the world where football is only an optional and there's not much more than an overall, stunning corruption , which actually is the only way england can keep on mantaining their own football in bankrupcy since 5 years .....

  • At least Italy made a bit of clean up after the 2006 scandal, which is something other leagues with centennial traditions of corruption , world cups stolen in the dirtiest way in the history of football as host ( england 1966 ) and players betting and fixing their own games since the 1930s ( english league ) can only dream on ......!!

But of course I don't expect from a clueless ignorant wooden-minded australian whose country's whole sport has an history of corruption and fixed results

  • and whose country dopped even Ian Thorpe to cheat and rob fake medals to know something of football and to make rational comments .....! DD

As for the Netherlands no need to add more : everyone 3ho knows only 1% of football perfectly knows that this game was one of dirtiest and most shamefull FIXED matches in the UEFA history and of course the 4 tiems world champions take no lesson from the country whose football history is all about losing 3 WC finals : the 1st x idiocy ,

  • the 2nd in 1978 as doped dicks ( everything covered up by FIFA .....) and the 3rd one playing the awfulest , ugliest , dirtiest most shamefull final in the history of World Cup ......!! xD

And now cut it off , nobody gives a shit of your ridiculous stupid comment posted with the attitude of an ignorant clueless teen - ager who types only to move finger and give breath to his empty head .....!!!

Post more and grow up, you really need it
