Love this game, only thing I don't like is that you can actually play it without being very tactical. Think that you would have to be tactical to make it, like in SWAT 4 for exampel.

I love this game. I like doing the terrorists hunts too. I mostly like doing the COQ training in the terrorist hunts, and the Estate and Penthouse in story mode. The locaton i hate the most is the oil refinery. I hate that WHOLE mission. I play realistic all the time too.

1, The Crosshair didnt go RED when ur targeting at the Terrorists ( on Casual and Normal does go RED )

2, The amount of Grenades u have ( Casual:10 / Normal:5 / Realistic:2 )

This is awesome but I still always want some cod perks or some other layer of strategy. The levels are easy to memorize and beat in this once you see them at least once. I wish more shooters were more strategic.

Perks change the game even more than that which creates another layer of strategy. Rainbow six only has the real-world tactics due to movement and recoil inaccuracy. Modern Warfare 2 makes perks the excessive focus and leans towards unrealistic but the more complex class setups allow for even better strategic choices.

The semirealistic shooting is the same, so the only difference is perks which add complexity. the modern warfare 2 wiki has great detail on the usefulness of each perk. A game with only semirealistic will always be less strategic due to less complexity since modern warfare 2 has that and more.

@Tys0nFawlay no, that is timing and player prediction. You have to have accuracy that keeps all your shots inside your target's body mass when firing and manage the aim to do this. The strategy is in the perk interactions how they counter each other and can be used. Allowing players to adjust individual skills instead of whole classes allows more strategic options, but this requires players to use intelligent teamwork and perk usage for it not to devolve into a generic shooter.

Except all these nuke things, helicopter things etc are stupid in MW2, since you get them from kill streaks. IE the ones that already dominate get to dominate more.

I hate arcade shooters, I get bored of them quickly, so MW2 isn't anything for me.

They are immediate rewards that are purposefully unrealistic and counterable in the ways mentioned and more. Arcade shooters are immediate results, killstreaks immediate chain reactions, in a fast-paced game structure. constant fast paced gameplay withConstant slower-paced strategic progression would combines both styles well.
