  • fuck nyc its all about the south,, HOUSTON TX mothafuckaz!

  • @rg7187 FUCK YOU FAGGOT

  • One lane of traffic. That's the backup

  • Hahahhaha i love its

  • The only time I get the best sleep of my life is when I'm in NYC so thank you for this video now I can play it on my sleeping playlist and get a good nights sleep :)

  • @nycemilystromberg how about the weekends???? I remember living there in 90s and hearing women been rapen or young men been assaulted, even distant shootings and then sirens. everything would go silent afterwards till you hear some more people cheering and then more fighting or glass been smashed. I hated it, although I was 50 floors above the city. might be different on the lower levels but up higher you hear the real bad shit happen.

  • I moved to a quiet place, now that I think about it, I dont know how I do it here, I grew up in a very busy city, somewhat similar to NYC

  • Man, I'm glad i don't live in a concrete jungle like that. Give me wide open spaces and nature! It is the only way to live!

  • I LOVE NY :)

  • my friends uncle calls those -beep beep, get outta the way asshole- XD

  • av lived in rural england my whole life i could never imagine living somewhere like this...

the closest i got was peru where i lived in the city for 3 months and had this noise outside every day took me a while and i got used to it but when i came home i realised how quiet the countryside is!

  • yes! just what i needed for my video, perfect sound

  • This is great I love to leave my winodw open and sleep to this.

  • just got back from new york and it too quiet back home.

  • only in the city. queens isnt this bad lol

  • GOTTA LOVE NYC....

  • I don't know why nobody commented about the truck rearending the car at 1:31 on the far right of the video...you can hear the crash.

  • Music to my ears :)

  • I see they use a lot of room for parking..

  • i love this i want to go thier

  • Is it like that everyday?

  • @SEGAman323 Yes -- every single day, including weekends.

  • Idk why but i think this sound is beautiful. I can sleep throughout this noise because... idk it kinda make me feel secured. Its like i dont have to worry because people are everywhere and we are all the same ? Idk

  • @10thJuubi What is idk? In Denmark or what?

  • @10thJuubi Lol you guys are nuts, I'd prefer crickets and owls thank you :)

  • After reading these comments I didnt ppl who live in NY or like it actually LIKES The sound of the city to make them sleep..i live in LA and kudos to the ppl that actually go to sleep to this.i barely like the noises that I hear at night when im sleep..so I know I couldnt live In NY.

  • @FallenAngelGR1980 yeah :p

  • Ty this helped me with a stop animation video i was working on it gave it a more real city feeling

  • it's funny how, after a while, u no longer notice the honking or any sirens....unless u're near that azzhole who holds his fckin' horn down thinkin' ppl give a shyt about the length of a honk lol

  • Horrible.

  • fuck those rain recording things, play this when you got to sleep and you'll slumber like a parked car

  • @Escuderoam

Wow, I thought I was the only one who wanted to sleep to noises of a big city. If I lived in NYC or San Francisco I would've opened my window every night and sleep to that noise.

  • i know what its like to live there :P

  • every time I see a video of new york, I hear fire fighter car sounds and police car sounds. what a busy city!

  • Great sounds! Thanks for posting this.

  • thanks man, I needed those sounds for an homework Lol

  • Ahh I love the sound of the city. Very soothing to me. (: I'd love to go to NYC it'd be amazing. Thanks for the upload. ^^

  • @Kpbln65 lol, im afraid yes

  • I miss NEW YORK!!!!! I'm in boring hot dry Arizona and there is no other place like New York City!!!!

  • this well known sound u can hear only in NYC police, firetrucks, brakes, unique:D regards from Belgrade :)

  • lol thats funny lol i miss those days

  • I always thought NY wasen't as loud as people say it is. Hell when i went for a few days i don't remeber it being this loud

  • i have never heard ANYONE honk while driving. i guess people care about other people in Texas.....

  • @AirForcedude5 ha! what part of tx. u from???? cus down here in houston ppl always honking at other ppl. oh and theres alot of road rage fights too : )

  • @CALI2TEXBOY dallas. i have been to houston and it is crazy lol

  • @AirForcedude5 oh u from dallas. hmmm.. i taught dallas would be some what the same? anyway i dont know whats wrong with these drivers here in houston but they need to chill out lol

  • I live in Germany it can not be compared a big difference

  • i hate traffic like that with a passion..its pissing me off watching this vid lol

  • this is why you buy a bike or walk

  • @skateNappreciate No this is why you live out in the country and enjoy the simple life.

  • so inefficient. it's a hell hole. I couldn't live there knowing how much better it could be yet isn't.

people drive one person in a car, do they really need the footprint of a house moving around in tight quarters..

and how about tiny robotic cabs that you hail via cellphone and it takes you where you need to go quickly.

manhatten is a big enough economy that it could make such things happen. tinify the vehicles. get rid of the US bloat. make big cars illegal on manhattan or large fee

  • @DanFrederiksen new york is taking a lot of steps to reduce the amount of traffic in manhattan, and the fact new york city residents have the smallest carbon footprint in the nation. most residents take the bus or subway and a little over 50% of the city owns cars at all. before you complain about traffic here and how inefficient we are why don't you go look at videos of traffic in other cities that are more car reliant, Los Angeles is worse.

  • @stven171 it's easy to have a low carbon footprint if driving is impossible. instead of being defensive, hear what I said.

  • if i lived there, i'd jump right out the dern window.

  • oddly relaxing

  • that's crazy.

  • GTA 2 :)

  • @cgeuss1621 at least you're "in the city" as they call it here, lol. my town has 25,000 people but its right out of little rock so i go to LR as much as i can and try to enjoy it....but its not even close to the same. it SUCKS. how bout you

  • @cgeuss1621 dude wtf...me too....what part of arkansas did you move to? i moved to cabot from upper west side in manhattan

  • Hmmm I think I prefer the suburbs...

  • This ^ is why I'd walk lol

  • i live next door in jersey and it sucks but i dont know how or why people would want to live in that overcrowed cestpool called nyc. stress city. fuck that

  • @inktoxicated Cuz there's shit to do in the City. I moved to Jersey from NYC & my life has become so unbelievably boring since there's nothing to do here -__-

  • @MisterBankz FUCK YA MAN SAME ! I lived in NYC my hole life born and grow up then my dad wants to buy a house 45min wawy in NJ we have been out here for 2 years now and I CANT FUCKING TAKE IT THERE IS NOTHING TO DO IN NJ ! so when am like 20 am moving out of the house and am 18 now so not to long

  • i like Sacramento better

  • This video is very interesting. What is incredible, tho, is the order. You can clearly see 3 lanes, with space in between, a lot of space, on the side of the cars and behind/before them. There is some discipline.

I live in Rome, and here, discipline is something unknown. When there's a traffic jam, cars always stay a few centimeters away from each other, leaving no space at all, the lanes disappear, cars just fill every inch of the space, and of course, in case of emergency, it's hell on earth.

  • @Hraptor only on the streets. once you get in the avenues, 7th avenue up by 42nd and 43rd streets, and especially broadway and 42nd, all order is gone and it turns to chaos. there is order on the streets cause there aint shit but apartments here.

  • @lordhelmit3 Well yeah from my experience in ny, i agree with you. but hell im looking forward to come back :)

  • you call this a traffic jam?

  • oh how i love new york! i can almost smell it! this sound helps me sleep, i got so used to these sounds when i was there. its weird for it to be sooooo quiet in my little town in texas

  • looks an sounds a little like chicago..

  • Is that next to the Pod Hotel? I stayed there when I visited New York, looks familiar.

  • @christhebull i think it may be

  • I'd go nutso living there...

  • I love it!!!!

  • Why even drive unless you are leaving the city? It seems like you could get to where you want to go faster by walking. I could never live in NYC I would go crazy from all the noise and people. I like living in my quiet little town with hardly any traffic.

  • "i love this" ZZzz...ZZzz,woke up to find my wii still running. lol.

  • I HATE that sound! LOVE the peaceful sounds of south dakota, quiet, calm, and relaxing without all that stress (except when the Sturgis Rally comes, THEN we have a problem!)

  • "inception" type of filming GOOD

  • When this happens I just ride onto the side walk and skip right ahead if no police are around :/

  • yep...was expecting the camera to fall for some reason...

  • lol thats NYC for you!

  • I love this. So relaxing.

  • i love that sound

  • @Dannybamhim yeah just for few day after that you hat it :D

  • NYC is a f***ing nightmare traffic wise

  • @Trainking922 It is but i enjoy it

  • @Trainking922 Thats why most of them walk instead.

  • @Trainking922 not true, nightmares are shorter

  • Try living in Lower Manhattan where the streets are even tighter but just as busy.

  • Walk?

  • i love the sounds of the city and rain, it's very relaxing

  • yea why dont you just honk your horn....

  • it's a crazy place to live.

  • I have a condo on 62nd and 5th ave bewtween madison ave and its far worse

  • i hope your house is sound proof haha

  • God damn city people and their horns XD

  • when i live in nyc (im gonna live in qweens 5 years and im gonna have a car) and im gonaa honk like no toomrow

  • calm down kid

  • This looks so stupid. Why do people use cars there?Because they're stupid, this is the right answer.

  • I love the city

  • me too... i adore the sound of traffic outside my window! it's more relaxing to me than nature sounds for some reason haha.

  • that makes me relax myself, in some way :D

  • LOL'd

  • this sound is perfect for the movie im making!!! thx

  • OMG! I love you, New York! I've always lived in northern wisconsin and still do for the moment, can't wait to move there!!!

  • It would be faster to walk or take the subway.

  • i am glad i dont live there all i hear all day is birds and wildlife :D

  • Wow, im going to new york soon!

  • This is really cool im doing this out of school thing called Odessy of the mind and our theme is new york city so would it be alright if we used this?

  • that is a THEME? THIS YEAR I DO IT TOO MINE IS THE HISTORIC theme i did not know that

  • Ahh, I miss the city. (:

  • I love rollin thru all the avenues loosing the cops and getting lost on purpose, watch out for the cameras! punching it catching all the green lights showing them cabbie's how to race like Nyce1's...

  • i love all u wannabe new yorkers talking about how much u want to live in ny and how u could get so used to this but once u live in a big city the traffic is annoying not fun. being from la myself and living in ny, i love it to death, but both places traffic sucks and its not fun to sit in and "listen to the sounds" like all u fools think. people in ny and la dont even like out of staters so dont think these cities will ever be yours if u do move to either of em.

  • Well you probly right. In my town if traffic was like that there would be choas. Main street is not like that. But I would rather live in the quiet country than that hell. I heardly hear traffic at my house.

  • @08beamer shit i was born in LA and moved to NYC when i was 7. lived here all my life. and i agree. lol. the sounds of all the beeping and sirens and screeching tires and loud engines, trucks, helicopters, etc SUCKS. it was cool for like an hour then it got seriously annoynf. 13 years later theyre still anoying. lol. but i hate when i'm walkin to work or whatever and some fuckin tourist asks me how to get to times squae or some street that isnt even in manhattan

  • Why do people drive in that city dear Lord

  • da fuck u talkin bout? i aint talkin shit nigga, u mad u da one prolly beepin at ppl crossin da street when u on a red light. na who feel stupid, defendin ignit as ppl who honk when they no they aint goin nowhere, thats prolly what u do, id get out da car n back hand slap da shit out u if u beeped at me knowin traffic aint movin!

  • this is what i deal with everyday!

  • dont tell him he'll come get you!

  • why everytime, and i mean EVERYTIME i watch a video of new york there are siren and fire truck sounds?? i love it, i find it very relaxing..

  • @efrrren yup lmao, theres never a dull moment when it comes to listening.. :P (in new york city)

  • so true.In movies it's a cliché.Only there...

  • ahh, that's my city(:

  • it looks like Chicago! but when theres traffic like this ppl dont HONK! lolz if u know traffic isnt goin nowhere why beep at the person in front of you! lolz like if its the fault of the person in front of you!

  • I wish there was like, a 10 minute version of this.

  • has anyone played turning point because if the nazis came back for revenge and bombed new york now days it would be a hell of a lot more chaotic than the game cause of all the traffic

  • yeah bigmacdaddy35, also prototype can use some more traffic

  • @Yorpie i dont know about that because im only 12 i have never payed prototype

  • the game has a lot of blood so i dont know if you would like it.

  • hi how much do you pay for rent there and how many rooms cuz with that noise it must be cheap. also is it like that during the night

  • Wow I really miss the city, I cant believe this

  • its my dream to NYC and i can totally get used to this. i love the city :)<3

  • me too!

  • I see Spiderman filmed this himself.

  • Comment removed

  • No way in hell I could deal with that on a daily. I think I'll stay in the south. With the chirpin' of the crickets! lol!

  • i deal with it every day and i live 50 iles from new york

  • om gosh ive been lookin for sounds like this thank you so much for putting it here i love u now

  • Looks like the 200 block here.

  • I couldn't see driving in this shit daily...

  • Why the hell do ppl blare their horns in traffic jams like this? Where the fuck do they think they're going to go? lol.

  • that´s nyc business. you approach, you make noise.

  • @klb084 they aren't honking at the traffic jam they are honking because they are blocking the box

  • @klb084 tell that to my mom i live in the subburbs of philly and she honks like crazy she honks at red lights!

  • @bobzzz23 lol, I have a friend from Germany that yells and curses at red lights. It's hilarious! That's funny that you're mom honks at them though.

  • @klb084 I agree with you, but trust me, I'm a lifelong New Yorker, it's part of the way of life. I know from experience that sometimes blaring my horn can relieve some of my frustration of being stuck in gridlock (the very few times I actually drive instead of taking the train or walking).

  • @dudestir127 I've thought about that. I can imagine blaring your horn would alleviate some frustration. lol

  • @klb084 this was the funniest comment!!!! LMFAO!!!!
