  • Music is a gift that soothes the heart strings. I'm having a very beautiful nostalgic moment listening to the songs i heard every single Sunday morning as a child. Its hard to forget the words, the rhythm and the message behind it. To Sidney may the memories and legacy of your father give you peace and i hope your family knows that while he was here he did his earthly job of bring happiness, peace and challenge to the lives of his fellow Nigerians and Africans.. May his soul continue to RIP.

  • men tear just drop down my eyes this song is so touching

  • Wonderful song, wonderful man. Bless Africa, bless Mr. Okosun.

  • SERIOUS SONGS THAT REFLECT REAL LIFE ISSUES.

Unlike the frivolous and titillating songs of today.

  • What I'll say may shock MJ's fans. D day I learnt that Sonny was dead I felt so bad he died w/o occupying any govt post in Nigeria. It was easy for me to feel so. he was such a grass root man Africa wide he could hv made a change. But musicians like Rev. Frs don't often enter politics. I felt the same way when I heard Marvin Gaye was dead and tha Bob Marley died b4 I started playing hs music in 1984. I ws just sorry for MJackson (easily d most popular human being). He lived not hs life at all.

  • I'm very SORRY, but i didn't know that Sunny Okosun is dead....

    REST in PEACE SUNNY

  • what a wonderful song. And more importantly, from a legend. May his soul RIP.

  • Without a doubt, this music brings back a feeling of nostalgia and I thank who posted this ever-living music.

  • I did not know this great maestro has passed on to the great beyond. Listening to his music as I have often done, I never knew he was physically gone. I remember him as a boy, and always comparing him to another maestro, Sir Victor Uwaifo. Yes, he will be missed by those who appreciate his message-packed music. This man impacted the world with his music. Like Mariam Makeba, he fought political injustices and neocolonialism in Africa. He was a hero and still is, even in death. RIP great one!!!

  • to chrisj2001. while he was alive he was going through pain. you shouldnt say f*** his death. you should say f*** the cancer. but when you say that. thats coursing his death. i am his grandaughter. I took his loss extremely hard. but he's in a better place. R.I.P grandpa.I love you.

  • Hello Sidney,

Sincere condolence on the loss of your father, the most venerable Pastor and Evangelist Sonny Okosun. He was a true man of faith, a man who inspired a whole country not only through his musical legacies and his fight against oppression, but also through his religious ministries. He's now sitting on the right side of our Lord Jesus Christ. Take comfort in the fact that he is now in a place of rest.
