  • Yo would it be possible to emulate the Ipod Touch on a Nokia N810

  • yours so stupid..... you can fastforword the song

  • dude okay, i hate apple too. But try to be objective next time. Weird interface on iPod Touch ? Are you kidding me ? Even a puppy can use that thing with it's nose.

  • Comment removed

  • @joemah555 N810 is not a phone but you can link it to your phone using Bluetooth to stay connected to internet almost everywhere. I think it is good to compare a device that can do all the same things and more for a lesser price.

  • @aholatom sorry i thought it was a phone but the up coming ipod touch 4g maybe able to beat it.maybe you can make a video with the latest nokia thing compared to it when it comes out in september

  • A biased review, WTH.. He even said "You don't have to go through a proprietary app store system like with the CRAPPLE, who do not care about your freedom."... Whoa, you really have a grudge on apple, nokia fanboy! I can auto-tune my voice with my ipod touch, can your Nokia N810 can? ^_^

  • @elaytot I dislike both crApple and Micro$oft because they limit your freedom and try to hook their customers by proprietary systems making you depend on them. I'm a Linux fan because with Linux I'm free to do everything I want with my computing devices. Not sure if anybody has made a voice auto-tune for the N810. I don't sing myself but use sometimes the VariPhrase processor in Sonar for effects. I don't see a need for such a system in a mobile device but it would be easy to port to N810.

  • @elaytot My N810 can boot Ubuntu, android, Debian or Mer which gives access to limitless applications

  • the ipod 3g is even better

  • n810 is definitely better, how did you get google map on the N810?

  • @confidentfella The Maemo Mapper application is great and you can add many map repositories to it. Google maps repository can be automatically added by choosing "download sample repositories" in the meny.

  • @aholatom many Thanks

  • You don't know how to use an iPod! iPod is hell better than Nokia!! Only if you use it correctly

  • @mydreamisrx8 Would you describe the iPod with the H-word if you would know what I know? If you could read comments you might know something :)

  • lol finland :P

  • but nokia doesn't have any apps to play with like pocket god

  • @Tony1998111 For the N810 you can get tons of free applications by downloading from community supported repositories. You don't have to go through a proprietary app store system like with the crapple, who do not care about your freedom.

  • this video is biased as fuck lol

  • @310thegame228 Well well, who is biased? Bad language, missing versals and no solid thoughts about what is biased in my video.

  • You need to make a comparison between the iphone and nokia n900

  • yo fast forward the song u tap the middle of the screen wen u put on a song

and then the progress bar shows up.. this jus makes the ipod touch look bad thatz all it is .. i didnt have any problem reading on the ipod touch

  • @issde Thanks for letting us know! But if you read comments below you would know we already knew that. This video is not about learning to use the device.

  • yea i read them after sorry bout that

  • Comment removed

  • awful sound quality..hahaha

  • Wow try to learn english and this is stupid comparsion..

  • @iliatilev Thanks. Good luck with your English classes!

  • the only problem i see with the n810 is that is the lack of apps. [compared to the itouch] and the memory, but you can always get a card for it.

  • rate 1 star for lying."no fast forward" just tap screen.

  • @razr987 Have you never heard of acting? My point was to show the affordability problem with the UI. I did read the manual so I know what to do. I was acting a user who does not like to read manuals.

  • this guy makes the itouch look bad,wtf i hate this guy >:/,when he showed the youtube video,it went to the side and he was like o strange -_-,wata dik

  • I just think you are doing a wrong comparison here, while the iPod is a media player the N810 is an intenet device. So a 32G iPod can store 7000 songs, it is 50% thinner and 30% lighter(from what I seen I think you're an engineer and understand that this is alot). Of course the N810 is faster on internet, this is what is design for, but it has no storage capability (2G is what, 400songs?). The screen on the N810 is beautiful, but the iPod one isn't bad at all, I really enjoy movies on it. :D

  • you can use memory card with the n810 but I would like to see more storage on the n810 built in

  • @Railroadmaster Well, the N900 has plenty of internal memory.

  • Yes but the n900 is 500 $ which is a pretty penny to pay

  • my ipod sounds better than the nokia, i hook it up to my car and it hits 141.07 db (louder than a jet at take off)

  • @flickurbic187 Ok, you think louder sounds better then. But loudness in that case has little to do with the player device itself and more with the amplifier you hook it up to. Also, if you listen to louder than about 80-85dB you will damage your hearing and really won't be able to judge audio fidelity after a while. The N810 is way louder with it's internal speakers and it is stereo unlike the iPod.

  • its really that big of a deal to turn the ipod on its side. your that lazy

  • It is not a big deal but in a good quality interaction you should not have to do unnecessary moves dictated by the device. Maybe this is one reason why I see so many iPod Touches and iPhones with cracked displays - people need to turn them around and accidentally drop them to the ground in the process.

  • i agree!

    nokia n810 rocks!!

  • nokia 3310 is better than iphone 3g haha

  • You ignored some of the iPods key features and you blamed your own stupidity on the device. I burst out laughing when you couldn't figure out how to fast forward on the iPod. If you weren't playing dumb then I'm shocked you even know how to flip a light switch, or walk for that matter. You tap the screen once! Is it so hard to lightly tap a screen? You can fast forward and you can do it faster on the iPod touch!

  • Thanks for your comment! You must enjoy my review coming back and giving more comments. If you are able to read, my other replies and my video description says that I made this video to point out some interaction affordability problems and quality issues with this devices to my friends. I did read the manual so I know how to use the iPod Touch. I'm glad to hear you found this amusing. Some find reading manuals frustrating.

  • Terribly biased review. Even if I did want the Nokia I would not look at this as a fair review. Kind of like those infomercials that show an exagerated task getting all messy and how their product makes it easy.

Everything about the touch seems to me "odd" and "strange" to the reviewer. Terrible!!

  • yea he focused the good on the n810 with his bold head u sick dont make no more videos u suck

  • Don't watch my videos and write comments on them that violates YouTube community guidelines if you think I suck. That does not make you look very smart. If you would focus on reality you would know I'm not reviewing the N810 here. I picked up a few tasks (viewing maps, watching youtube videos, web browsing and mp3 playback) and tested them out on the iPod Touch. The N810 was only there as a reference as it has similar functions and is almost as expensive.

  • That's one of my thoughts too. He focused on the good of the N810 and the bad of the iPod Touch. There's was no mention of the iPod's app store, it's much smaller size and weight, it's ability to buy tons of media without a computer with iTunes, it's multi touch, it's games, and I could really go on. There's ton of features that the iPod has that aren't even remotally on the N810. In the end I think the N810 is a better device but the review was extremely biased.

  • sorry for all my comments. don't mean to spam but i did look into the nokia and it does offer more features and are very useful. and overall the nokia seems to be a better device. no doubt about it. but i did feel you focused more on the pros of the nokia and the cons of the touch. so yeah. just so you know I'm on no particular sides and love gadgets myself and think both of them are wonderful!

  • sorry I should correct myself that this isn't a phone its an internet tablet but they are still on different playing fields. just a bit.

  • but I do understand that you reviewed this way before 3rd gen so FAIR review. and some things like the keyboard I don't agree with because I love it but thats just me so it really depends. overall I give this review a 3.8/5 good job though!

  • not to be rude in any way but WHY are we COMPARING a phone to an mp3 player. there not on the same level at all. I think both of them are good products. it just depends on peoples reasons on using them. but the ipod touch speakers aren't the best and the screen quality isn't the greatest but its still an amazing device. and now since the 3rd generation comes out its a lot faster. I have one and it does have bluetooth. and they also increased on the graphics a bit.

  • @Drstrange3000 The Nokia N810 is not a phone it's internet tablet

  • Well some of your points were flawed I agree that the N810 is way better than an iPod Touch. Apple fanboys are everywhere ready to hate on anyone who gives a negative opinion for an Apple product. The N810 blows the iPod Touch out of the water and it only takes a little research to realize that.

  • This Fucking idiot did not know anything about the Ipod touch so this is a pointless review, The Ipod touch does have Fast Forward and backward in the music player it just need to be touch and keep pressed the same key that is use it to change the song. Idiot!!

  • itouch is obviously better! You don't know a lot of features of it thats why u think it sucks.

  • I don't think it sucks. Perhaps you did not understand my points and earlier comments. If it is better or not is not something you can generalize. It all depends on the use cases and expectations and is thus a very subjective matter. If you need a shiny device you can touch then iPod Touch is better. If you need an useful device to work with then N810 is better. Of course, the new N900 is even better.

  • I have the n810 and my ipod touch is shipping (bought it yesterday) but the n810 does have a lot more features.

  • and to fast foreword you tap on the album art work and a little bar should come down if you dont know how to use it you shouldent compare it

  • I have read the manual so I know how to use it. I was making a point that you obviously missed.

  • ipod touch is better more portable and easer to use oh and the ipod touch is not slippery and ipod touch has way more features than the nokia APPLE ROCKS !!!!

  • the ipod touch DOES NOT have more features. You obviously don't own an n810

  • is the top of the nokia n810 blue or black

  • Neither. It is brushed steel with some tinting. There might be a hint of blue, but mostly I would say it is metallic grey. The battery cover on the backside is also steel and has the same tint.

  • very nice video, great comparison. do you know what generation the ipod touch you used was? i believe the processors are different depending on generation.

  • Thanks! It is the second generation. You can recognize this from the more curved backside making it more slippery and easier to drop and break.

  • haha. this review is funny... especially cause you couldn't figure out how to use the ipod. btw, I have an n800, but after trying the ipod touch at the mac store, i've come to the conclusion that the UI is far superior to that of the n800 (OS2008). Browsing web pages is soooo much easier on the ipod touch (see capacitive touch screen, nokia should get on this, why isn't it on the n900?) Even if the screen is lower resolution (and yes, i love the n800 screen) the zooming ability makes up for it.

  • Yes, some like the ipod UI because it is simple. I don't because I don't like limitations. Browsing on ipod is difficult for two reasons. 1) Many websites don't work on the ipod. 2) On the small screen you need to twitch your fingers to zoom in and out until you get cramps. Resistive touch can do multitouch (eg. Stantum) and it supports high resolution stylus work such as selecting spreadsheet cells or drawing. I prefer to zoom rocker switch so I don't get cramps.

  • As an owner of 2 iPod touch devices, I can tell you that Tom is right. The novelty of the ipod touch wears off pretty quickly and then you realise you've been sold a sugar high / eye candy limited device. My 1st gen iPod touch has not even got a speaker nor a camera for that matter. 4get bluetooth connecting , multitasking, freedom to install apps. What can I say ? I've ordered an N810 for half the price (£129) I paid for the iPod touch and cant wait. No more Apple iHype for me.

  • no offense but this was really biased... u didn't take time to learn the ipod touch, because it is a great device, the speakers arent good though but the applications are pretty darn awesome. the ipod touch also loads the entire page that is probably why it was slower. the n810 to me seems like a nice device but not a large community.

  • I did come to the conclusion that the ipod touch is a great device. But it is not an useful device for me. No matter how long I learn it, the display resolution remains blurry and the slowness stays the same. Probably the applications crashes as much and the features stay as minimal, which is why it seems easy to use for many basic things, but impossible to do what I want.

  • I'd like to just comment on when you say it's slower to load web pages. It seems the iPod is slower because it loads the entire page at once. However with the Nokia device it loads the elements of the web page as you scroll down. So no it is not "slower" as you say it is.

  • @CMDProductionsTM They did that to make the user feel that they were getting a faster browser, and that makes the user feel comfortable.

  • @fartshizzle True, but he says that it is faster, which it is clearly not.

  • thanks for this

  • I own both and while I do agree that the n810 is better, you really did not pit the two against each-other fairly. The ipod touch is, in all fairness, easier to learn, but you just showed yourself getting frustrated with using it for the first time. Say I'm a pro archer and I've never handled a gun. I decide to do a video comparison, but in the process, I accidentally shoot myself in the foot after getting flustered with the loading process - does this make archery the superior hunting method?

  • No it does not. The gun is faster and has a longer range. Although archery is nice the gun does the job better. Likewise the iPod is nice but it just can not do serious stuff that I would like to do. N810 is faster and can do a lot more.

  • I really love this video, great compare! I was looking at both and deciding which to buy and you've made my choice, the Nokia. Now just out of curiosity how good is the touch screen when using your finger and scrolling with web pages. if you could make a video of it doing that it would be fantastic. thanks in advance! Great Vid!

  • Thanks for you comment. In the video at 2:56 I do scroll the web page shortly with my finger. The difference to iPod is that you have to press slightly harder with the finger. In the end it's not a big difference. The iPod scrolls faster but loads pages slower. With the N810 you fit more of a webpage in one screen so you don't need to scroll around that much.

  • i really prefer the ipod much better once u get to using it quite frequently you will like the games and apps much more that the nokia does not offer. so i think for the money the ipod is better value because of the apps and games and free internet

  • The internet is just as free with the N810 if you have WiFi or cellular data subscription. For the N810 you get tons of Linux applications and games for FREE (Doom, Quake, tetris, sudoku, what not...). For the iPod you need to BUY applications from a proprietary shop system and you need to install iTunes which is not available for free systems like Linux. And all the iPod games I tried on the iPod crashed so I could not even compare games on the devices.

  • i have to say i like the ipod touch better but i do think you have a good argument about that cause that nokia thing is nice and i think they both have good qualitys for instance i like the keypad on the nokia thing but i personally think that the ipod is better for doing more things but all in all i think you put up a good argument and you have a fair fight and btw good video

  • dude the reason the ipod dosent stop when u press the button is because you can do other things while listening to the music and also u have an older version.

  • why r u hating on the ipod touch. u just don't know how to use it right

  • You are wrong. I love gadgets. Read old comments and you might get it.

  • Actually with the new 3.0 software update you can use stereo bluetooth.

  • where can you buy the nokia in the US?

  • question... I really want to get a Nokia N810...but I've heard that the sound quality isn't very good (i.e. coming out of the headphone jack, I want to use it as an iPod replacement. and an awesome internet tablet) so be brutally honest, it is as good as an average mp3 player?? thanks

  • good review, but do I hear biased anyone?

  • Yes, definitely I hear biased comments all the time! Touch owners watch reviews of the iPod for some strange reason and try to justify their purchase. And they try to comfort themselves by commenting with arguments nobody can back up and using bad language violating YouTube community guidelines. So a really happy bunch of people the iPod users seem to be. In the review itself, nobody has been able to point out anything biased in the 82 comments so far.

  • Fortunately using bad words doesn't mean anything. On the contrary if you can say something good about ipod touch that perhaps may make a compelling argument.

BTW if you are in so love with your ipod then why even bother to come here and leave nasty comments... Interesting

  • ok n800 has speakers that plays loud, ipod touch doesnt.

n800 has a transmission application that can download torrents ipod touch doesnt.

resolution and web browser is way better on n800

n800 has alot i could go forever. look people dont waste ur money on a ipod touch its worthless. get a n800 thats cheaper but can do way more things and its way better

  • @osmiley99 Not n800, n810. They are pretty much the same though

  • well i have the n800 with the 0s2008 upgrade which is basically the same thing as n810, so i didnt have to get the n810 because of that. but n810 or n800 kills the ipod touch.

  • I never used the N810, but I love my iPhone. The sound quality is really terrible and often I cover it up with my thumb when I'm playing a game though, so I think you were definitely right about that. Never had a problem with the keyboard though, I suppose it takes some time to get used to.

    Good video.

  • If you don't understand my video read other comments or don't watch it. Your comment is really useless. I can post any kind of videos for my friends and they found this one very useful. Why do you watch videos you think are weird? Are you weird or something?

  • You are strange and weird. Stop making video reviews if you are going to be so biased towards products(especially since you did not take the time to properly learn to use it before you made this video)

  • yo Can fast forward pip

  • I know that but that was not the point. Read other comments if you don't get it.

  • Worst review ever. Your have limited common sense.

  • Thanks for your most informative comment!

  • So what exactly is weird about watching youtube in landscape, and what is weird about being able to listen to music whilst you browse through other apps? Your view is so amazing biased.

  • You did not get it. Weird is that you have to turn the device while using it. This is difficult if you have only one hand free. Weird is that the home button has a symbol used for stop buttons. My review video was only meant for my friends who are either UX experts or device architects. They get it. I'm very amused that so many iPod owners read reviews of the iPod after they already have bought one and bother to make up comments to try to justify their purchase. That is truly weird.

  • You need to learn how to use a product before you compare it to another product. There are many features that you said were not on the iPod touch but they are there, like scrubbing through a song. The iPod touch 2G also has bluetooth with 3.0.

oh, your voice is annoying, you make those tick/click sounds when you speak.

  • If you would read other's comments you might understand the point of the review. Or maybe not.

  • I couldn't stop laughing at this ridiculous review. Thanks! You've made me night!

  • Thanks for you comment - I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • MAC users are retards, hi I am a mac, and I am a retard!!! Hi I am a PC who can beat the shit out of you. Better gaming, better processing, better all around. That's why I am a PC, GOD bless America you mac-tards

  • oh boy, better gaming better processor better all around. You can play your retard games while a nice worm infects your piece of shit that will be outdated and run down in less than a year! woo

  • lol.. you're an idiot.. there are viruses for macs and it is the macs that are outdated in a year or two.

  • Ohh boy, that comeback only too you TWO fucking months to come up with. Go be a fag somewhere else.

  • i just watched this video.. Bradley.. nice name

  • What a fucking creeper. I read somewhere only people named "agassi" love to guzzle cum and eat cock meat. Is this true? I think so.

  • ofcourse i like cock meat.. especially drumsticks and thighs... amazing u tell me abt guzzling cum when ur name is strippedstang.. stand is a mans name no ?

  • that's only because apple keeps innovating. and no that's not even true, a power mac G3 which is like 6 years old can run apple's newest OS, snow leopard. Can a 6 year old PC with no upgrades run windows vista? or even windows 7? I don't think so...

  • thats cuz of windows kernel size..

  • exactly

  • mac is crap though who the heck wants leopard apple is only good with the iphone and ipods

  • mac is crap? what can a windows computer do that a mac can't?

  • i aggre with you, I love my mac

but PowerPC macs can't run Snow Leopard, because it's made for Intel macs only

but Snow Leopard is the best OS in the world! win 7 can't even compare

  • Yes, you are a retard. You are calling Macs normal and PCs retarded, look at the first line of you comment.

    "hi I am a mac, and I am a retard!!!' -fathi1262003

The PC is calling it's self a retard, and the Mac is normal, unlike yourself.

    Now who's the retard now.

  • Some of the features and such from the Nokia do look fairly superior. But the main problem that all other devices have vs the iphone is the same sort of problem all computers have vs windows. All the software and support is on the iphone. The mini-os the iphone has is pretty nice. Once android gets off it's feet there will be some competition but not right now.

  • I have no idea why you talk about iphone here. At least the iPod I borrowed had serious software bugs and I have heard other's have suffered from them too. And there are only little software on it, you have to buy more from the app store. They are quite cheap and simple but if you drop you iPod it breaks and you loose your investment as they don't work anywhere else. And I think windows has at least as many problems as anything else. Don't know why you mention windows though.

  • omg dude he was simply making a comparison. how is mac better than windows ?

  • excellent review, its nice to see true comparison's between hardware devices as these. i will be sure to stay far away from mediocre apple products. thanks!

  • Youre an idiot. You dont even know how to fast forward. Stop button? OMG so weird! it allows you to listen to music as you use other apps. WEIRD!

  • Do you think that I can not read the manual? Maybe you are way too smart and that's why you miss the point of the review. The symbol on the Home button is widely used as a symbol for Stop buttons. Why did Apple chose this symbol instead of the common house symbol for home buttons? If you don't get this - no worries - my review was targeted for other people.

  • This was a good review sir. :D

  • your an idiotttt

you can fast forward by tapping on the art one time anddd you can hold the fast forward botton

  • And hes supposed to magically know the secret passcode in order to unlock "FASTFORWARD function." Just because it exists, doesn't mean he can't rate the product down because it is more cumbersome than it should be, and the other product gives him exactly what he wants in plain sight.

I believe you were calling someone an idiot, should I go get a mirror or did you get the hint?

  • Dude you rock

  • It's nice to know that there are people out there that aren't complete fanboys and can use reasoning/logic.

I personally, need a real keyboard. Typing on a touchscreen is rather, meh to say the least.

  • iPhone got iPowned

  • damn that nokia is way better

  • You are repeating other's other's comments, which I think is a bit pointless. So can you say exactly what is biased? Why would an used device have any different specifications and features? If you were required to use extensively a useless device before reviewing, there would not be any reviews of useless devices and then nobody learns what it wrong with the design. Fortunately there is no such requirement if you want to review something for your friends.

  • Good review. I agree with you on this review. I am not a retard and get exactly what you are trying to get across as to your point. As with every apple product they just can't make something that will work out of the box without reading the manual first. The nokia N810 blows the touch out of the water by a long shot. It is better in every way. Another thing to have mentioned here is how often the ipod touch malfunctions. Go to newegg or amazon and look at how many refurbished devices there are..

  • i have no favorite yet... i have an ipod touch but just found about the n810 and i'm thinking of buying it... well just for your information... you can fast forward on the ipod touch and see in what part of the song you're in... just tap once the album art... what doesn't convince me of getting the n810 is that 16GB sd's are expensive and i don't think having 2x8GB would be a good idea...

  • now you should compare prise

  • They were similarly priced at the time of review. Even now in my local store the N810 is 220€ and iPod Touch 8GB is 229€. Of course, you can buy iPod Touch 16GB or 32GB for much more but with the N810 you can increase memory when needed by buying cheap SD memory cards. This is just another big drawback with iPod Touch that you can not use memory cards.

  • i saw some bias :P, you moved map a LOT faster on ipod, not that i dont prefer 810, just pointing it out..

  • Maybe at some point I did go faster because I got frustrated with the iPod because the map updates so slowly but moves around very quickly. For example on the N810 at 18 seconds 15 frames I started a move stroke that lasted 13 frames and map was completely updated 7 frames after the stroke. In comparison on the iPod at 22 seconds 5 frames I started a stroke that lasted 16 frames. I did not have patience to wait for map to load as it had not done so 34 frames later. (video is 25 frames/s)

  • i bought it last night (the 810), im excited, only 3 days

  • Actually, you can fast forward the songs on your ipod. Just tap on the middle of the screen while playing a song, then you'll see the position bar on the top, use your finger to move it!

  • Yes I know because I read the manual. But why is Apple making toys that require reading the instructions? And why do you have to tap and zoom and whatnot when you could have the relevant data there by default and crisp and clear?

  • LOL, but its true, they just want to use the touchscreen a bit too much

  • Really? You need to read a manual for the iPod Touch but not for the Nokia N810? Sorry, but the iPod Touch is much more intuitive than the N810. And you're complaining about having to tap and zoom? You don't get it. It's not because the screen is low resolution, it's because the screen is only 3.5". And by being able to easily zoom it, it makes up for having a smaller screen. You really don't get new technology, do you? I found no problems navigating an iPod Touch but had problems with the N810

  • both are useless toys only wlan and bluetoth support ....

  • iPod does not even have Bluetooth. N810 works great over 3G cellular through my phone.

  • yeh but thats useless i dont own a cellphone with umts :-)

  • Actually the iPod Touch does have bluetooth support, however it is not unlocked in the 2.x firmwares. When 3.0 is released in June the iPod's bluetooth capability will be unlocked and fully usable. This includes stereo-bluetooth and file sharing.

  • only in Finland

  • Nokia N810 owns all the bitches!

    iPod Touch sucks balls!

there r TONS of glitches in the Touch and is WAY too damn hard to fuckin type. the Touch is poorly built.

  • What what what? do you live in a cave?

  • wait, "what" x3?

um no hell i dont live in a cave

  • Hey i know how to fast forward it............ just hold the fast forward button..... stupid

  • haha jk nigga!

ipod touch all the fuckin way!:D

  • I recently purchased a nokia n810. I also own a 32gb iPod touch. I love the physical keyboard of the n810 and the bluetooth and built in stand. However, the ipod touch has a way better screen, and multitouch is a great. I love the openness of the nokias os. And the ipod is set to get stereo bluetooth unlocked in june. And everything seems smoother with the ipod. They both have their uses but iPod overall is better than the n810. Except in terms of 3rd party apps, but the iPod is catchin up.

  • Better screen - you are kidding? How can anything below VGA resolution be good for anything these days? You can not even see videos taken by mobile phones in full resolution with the iPod. And in addition the iPod screen has a very visible pixel net (black between pixels). Everyting is horribly blurry in the iPod screen so it is not really useful for anything serious. You can not even use a pointy stylus to draw anything detailed. Sure everything is smooth running at so low resolution.

  • Except the iPod has a higher pixel per inch count than the N810, and is capable of displaying more colors. I will agree that I do wish the iPod had both a resistive and capacitive touch screen, but if it were one or the other, like it is in both the N810 and iPod, I would choose capacitive, like in the iPod. It's way more responsive, and it does support multitouch. In terms of hardware (other than screen) nokia wins, but in terms of software, it goes to the iPod. Its just a better experience.

  • The iPod touch has 163 pix/inch and the N810 has 226 pix/inch. So N810 is much better and bigger (4.13" vs 3.5"). To my knowledge both devices have same amount of colors. The responsiveness of the iPod is due to low resolution graphics, lack of multitasking and lack of software "legacy"/compatibility. Resistive screens can be responsive and can support two touch. Key difference it that capacitive screen need no pressure to detect a touch.

  • i have to agree with u! the nokia is way better than the ipod touch!!!!! better quality! better everything!! :D

  • yes!

  • Wow this guy hates the iPod touch he was making it seem like it's a bad device but it aint

He's prolly only giving a good review to the nokia thing cuz it's his and he cant accept the fact that the ipod touch is a much better Device

  • Please don't use the h-word. I love gadgets. All gadgets. I only said the iPod is not useful for me because it lacks the features I need. The iPod is a nice toy - but if you need maps, web browsing, video and mp3 playback etc. you can get much better for the money. If you only need something to touch then iPod touch is great. If you watched my video you would have seen that I did not give any review for the Nokia.

  • I'm a huge Nokia guy, owning N95-8GB, E61i, N82, and waiting for N86 and N97...but this review is done very poorly, and extremely biased... I'm looking into the N810, but I also own the 2gen iPod Touch... and you have to be very ignorant for not giving Apple credit for creating one of the best touch device on the market...

  • lol, you were trying to make the iPod look bad.

"Oh, you have to turn it? That's strange.." lol

  • you are an IDIOT!!! You can fast forward on an itouch/iphone by touching the album art! The speakers are for CASUAL LISTENING!

the ipod is thin and sleek

does the nokia crap have multitouch, accelorometer, over 25,000 apps over 800 MILLION app downloads or a nice interface? (the nokia looks like CRAP!)

    NO!

the maps may be a LITTLE slower... like HALF A SECOND but that is FINE!!

do you even know HOW to use an ipod touch???

and you can't compare an ipod with a phone!

    Jeez... ONE STAR!!!!

  • haha you dumb nigger, the n810 is not a phone. the n810 has way more than 20,000 apps available because it runs linux. there is no excuse for poor speakers on the touch. the n810 is thin and sleek too it just has a bigger screen and higher resolution, 800x480. the touch looks ugly to be honest. the n810 is sexy.

  • Thanks for letting me know! I deeply admire intelligent people who understand the full meaning of acting and making movies, especially when not reading the comments. Thanks for the effort to comment! It must have been a hard job getting so many capital letters done with the iPod touch. I have noticed that most Touch users have trouble getting those capital letters in the right place.

  • Who cares how many times apps have been downloaded? It's not a phone, it's an internet tablet.

  • the ipod touch has the APP STORE

    beat that BALDY!!

  • For the N810 you don't need to buy applications from a store you just select the applications you need from the application manager and click install. There are tons of Linux application available for free. Just enable the community repositories to get everything.

  • If you don't even know how to use a product, then why review it?

  • As I mentioned in my comments before I did this review for my friends to show why I have no use for an iPod Touch and to get experience of making review videos. I also wanted to point out the affordance problems with it.

  • this is one of the most biased review ever!

the ipod touch works really well, and i have nothing against nokia. generally i like the reviewer to know both products well
