OMG Dude cool video!! Sweet choice of music!! Michael Jackson ROCKS Now & 4ever. I like all of Michaels music. I also Love Michael as a person his kind heart & humanitarion always wanted to Heal The World and make it a better place.
Voted thumbs down . Here you have someone who has to yell over the music because it's so high. Yeah, yeah, we get the idea it works so why have it blaring away for 5 minutes? 20 or 30 seconds would have done the trick.
@carcano38 this was put up mainly for the person who purchased this machine to confirm it did in fact operate correctly. long yes,and I could have chosen a better selection to use.
Hi there. I just want to say that this is one of the best demo videos I have seen on YouTube. I just bought a 1455C. Your demonstration was a help. Thanks. David.
ya i loved mine till this morning it all the sudden quit putting out sound even when i plug it into a seperate speaker.....nothing. I dont know where i could get it fixed? any ideas?
any good TV repair shop should be able to repair it. they are relatively simple amplifiers. before you take it in, did you check the cartridge (needle assembly)? slide it out then put it back in and try the machine again.
Those are really nice machines! I remember my kindergarten teacher used to have one of these back in '95. It looked like a late-'60s to early-'70s model...definitely old-school. It sounded really nice, too!
With the way my old elementary school's been changing in the past 14 years, I doubt the player's even around any more, especially with the way they like to throw things away around there. :(
Nice demo! I have a 1455c just like that from 1991. I prefer the original Astatic 89t because it does not do damage to polystryrene 45s like most needles do especailly those aftermarket 89ts.

Thanks so much for your video. This is the best demo I've seen for a Califone. Just purchased one and can't wait to get it!

@nysumner glad to help. if your's doesn't sound good, replace the 89T stylus assembly. it's not an expensive part and could make a big difference.

It's a shame to see that stuff discarded.

no, I've only played polyvinyl chloride records on those machines. I keep the tracking as light as possible.

Thanks, and I agree on the OEM stylus. That 1455c was sent to California, hopefully it arrived safely.

Did you ever had issue with those polystryrene 45s?
