So many "goth-y" bands cover this song, Within temptation, Faith and The Muse, Placebo the list goes on but this has to be the best version, dare I even say better then the original
what happens to the vocals around 3:33? just doesn't go with the feel of the song, I disapprove, that was really really bad on second listening, i mean just that part :P
-no really, it woke me up from the flow of the song and not in a good way. as if someone else grabbed the microphone and sang that bit just to butt in like that and after that the band didn't bother to record again.
just how do ppl come up with such ways to ruin such otherwise beautiful covers?! I don't get people sometimes.
@frostmaiden85 I think he is talking about the "heavy metal style voice" that is a little more hard at that time. but i think its also because the "metric" of the lyrics and the arrangement of the cover/music, so thats the was the vocalist sing to feet it in that rhythm compass. I don't dislike it, it could be a little dificult do "accept" it at the beginning and it depends much of your style of music.
@frostmaiden85 I know what you mean, I hear it as well. It doesn't quite fit in with the rest of the song but I'm still giving them credit for trying to break up what *could* potentially be a monotonous song. Which it's not. It's plain AWESOME

this is by far THE best cover of this song I've ever heard. also check out the faith and the muse cover, that one also captures the spirit of this song very well, in addition to having a very distinct musical texture.
