@HaystackCaldoon i was stating i used to watch it and i loved this show growing up as a kid, i totally want that dodge charger without the confederate flag on top.
I find it funny how people call this a "70's show" given how only 1/2 of 1 year it aired in the 70's. It's BY FAAAAR an 80's show! By the way, "Daisy Dukes" were also worn by men while this aired, just watch Magnum PI (which also ran when this did) for proof!!
James Best has a farm just down from us here in central Fl. We still see him and his wonderful wife Dorothy at local dinners from time to time. As one might imagine, in Florida we have many retired celebrities and James and Dot are always a pleasure to see.
@PooPooOnMyNewShoe There was something about the way he performed in the show that told me he was a sweet fellow in ordinary life. Glad to have this confirmed. :)
@HaystackCaldoon They are great folks. Very down to Earth and very approachable. Jim had an acting school in nearby Clermont FL. Not sure if that's still there or not. He and Dot raise black Angus cattle like I do and are wonderful neighbors.

Pity they destroyed all those lovely old Dodge Chargers in making the show, though.
