  • Oh my god - Oh my god - Oh my god - THANK YOU!!!

GI Diary is my single most favorite childhood show about WW2. Every Saturday afternoon, everything came to a stop to watch this show!

I have searched the Internet for years and years - there are no DVD's or information for that matter about this incredible show.

THANK YOU again, you just made my day!

  • My father once met a man by chance who had been at Omaha Beach. All he would say about his experiences was that he was late getting back to his ship in England and he had to jump about three feet from the pier to the ship. He said that he'd wanted to be in on the big one, so he made the jump. He said that, had he known what he was headed for, he would've jumped three times that distance to get the hell off!

  • @M1903A1 My dad knows a man who's met a German who he shot down in a Dogfight now those to are friends and see each other most summers.

  • Thanks for uploading Skyraider, great series!

  • At 6:55 the line about ripping the glider apart to get out the 37mm gun...OMG I remember that line exactly from when I first saw this episode around 1985.

I am amazed to this day that Time-Life hasn't released this series on DVD. This is the epitome of a down-to-earth war documentary.

  • More GI Diary!!

    THANK YOU GOD!!!
