Man, you are great. I love your comments. You sound like me talking or one of my hard core Mulholland friends. You are correct about suspension preparedness on a rough road.
As for my driving ability, I have beaten everybody in the Ferrari Club with my old antique Testarossa. No one has any balls anymore. I've still got mine. I'd love to see your car.
By the way, my Ferrari Testarossa is an exotic, the Porsche RSR is a Gruupe 5 Racecar built for Mulholland. It doesn't matter what you are driving or who you are, you are not competitive. Thanks for the comment, CB
Just because you encounter an exotic on Mulholland does not mean they know how to drive, chances are they do not...Greater chances is that a skilled driver, such as myself, would leave you choking on exhaust fumes.
My backyard...seems impossible nowadays to get any competition up there...Look for me, I will be the guy ripping by you and leaving you in a cloud of dust.
It's true that there is little competition on Mul these days. However I've been saying that for thirty years. Only one person was competitive, and that was the legendary Mulholland Charley. I'm the only person known to have beaten him in a race on Mulholland and it was the best race I ever had, about 1974. Sorry but you are out of your league.
It is a long way from 1974 Dorothy. Times have changed. If your car is not set up for a rough road, you are toast...If you meet me, you are burnt toast.

Very insightful video, I never would have guessed Mulholland was that big with canyon runners back in the day.
When I first got my 87 MR2 I'd be there every single night, until I discovered Lil Tj.
It' would be a lot of fun if it was better paved, I know it pretty well, I'm talking 'bout Mul. Dr. from 101 till encino.
Mulholland Hwy, is a lot of fun as well, long and tighter though. I haven't really gotten to frequent the Hwy a lot, but I do love DCKR!

It would be refereshing to meet a match. It has been a long long long time since I have...I doubt the likelihood, however.

Just like most sports, old records are slaughtered, old sportsman are at a handicap to new blood.
My 4-banger/4-door will absolutely humiliate exotics...Watch a rally race and you will get a "dose" of that reality.
