No. A Tenor might be in the same key as the soprano, but Mario is indeed playing a Tenor Sax and Luigi is playing an Alto. You can usually tell by the curves on the neck and the size of the instrument. Since the Soprano is a higher octave than Alto, it should be smaller not bigger than the Alto.

@Dustin2010james sorry to butt in XD but i play alto myself, and my best friend recently switched to tenor, from alto. he sais that it was really close to alto, not much different, and thinks that they are about the same difficulty wise, tenor perhaps more difficult, because its bigger and needs more breath support
