  • also its not vio its pronunced vieo

  • excellent, but the men's vocals are spread, and i agree the "some to the lute" needs to be speed up, other than that I loved it and have been searching for a good choir who sang this song correctly so thank

    you for posting this.

  • @SailorMoon27Inuyasha Just wait a few weeks and I'll post my choir singing it. ;) My teacher is amazing and if we don't sound amazing, then there is something wrong with the camera :)

  • this song is so good it is the evolution of the world in relation to music. it also refers to Jesus Christ as a conquer who is gentle and one day if we fight with Him we will be able to conquer all

  • i love this song.I did this song while i was in high school.I sang tenor 1 for this song

  • I think there needs to be much more dynamic diversity in the performance of this piece. We're working on it in my school choir and dynamics make up a big part of this song as well as tempo. But these people didn't do terribly at all, at least.

  • @kenkarsonn I very much agree. we sang this song and it portrays this message better with the dynamic diversity.

  • Sounds very flat.....director's issue. Need to perk up those talented voices!!

  • Too slooooow, in my own opinion. By no means a bad performance, but needed polish.

  • Its not bad.... but there is not nearly enough energy, it almost sounds like its flating in some places and I feel like they don't wanna be there lol. . its just an observation, and I know its a chant, but you still need energy, The vowel tone is good though. we are performing this piece for our fall concert.

  • I sang this song with my Chamber choir and I sang Tenor 1 for this song and we rocked it!Go Middletown High School (MHS),NY!

  • "some to the lute" was supposed to be MUCH faster! and "victorious sounds, yet hear your homage due...hallejuahs(s/p) praise" i think it was like a 2/4 timing, sounded terrible..i hope whoever judged it noticed how bad they messed up you couldnt even hear the alto's in the parts where they were supposed to be strong&HEARD.

  • too powerful in the beginning, and they're going too hard on their R's, they sound good, but dynamics don't really change much in the way they sang it...they were way too loud in some parts, good besides those simple-to-fix mistakes

  • I didn't like the beginning either...too powerful...the dynamics didn't ask for that. In addition, it's unison with a simple gregorian chant melody. However, I love the ending...how it was drawn out. You guys STUCK the ending. Love it.

  • A few immediately noticeable things. WAY WAY WAY too powerful in the beginning. It creates the ENTIRELY wrong effect, especially since it just gets louder after that. Not enough of a break before the "some to the lute area". I'm sorry, as good as they sound, the song her has been completely miscommunicated, and it's obvious they have little understanding of the song itself.

  • I agree my choir director is making only like 5 or 6 guys sing the beginning so it doesnt become too powerful

  • i agree with the some to the lute ares is all bass/tenors :)

  • I think the men outsang the women!

  • Man, you guys sound good. Your diction is amazing! ANd the blend is absolutely beautiful. The only thing is that the vowel sounds a little wide at some parts, but you did a perfect job on everything. It flows very nice; I hope we sound this well when my choir goes to New York. Keep the good work up!

  • It sounds awesome, except I think you're too loud in the beginning. Good job though. =]
