I hope someone is helping this poor lady that knows the laws and can get her baby back to her. If our laws allow wrongful taking of children then we sure need them changed.

If Betty wasn't accused of doing any crime, as you say, why would she be entitled to a jury trial?
She was not threatened with incarceration, so she is not even entitled to representation.
This is the law.
