  • @sunduboo ya man ur totally rite

  • I think my favorite song is Any Colour.

  • They're one of the most underrated bands of the 80s. Even as a teen I cld distinguish the gorgeous music coupled with the stunning lyrics. You just don't hear such complex and elegant music anymore. I wish I'd seen them live when I had the chance.

  • For me, "I ve been in love before", is the most beatiful song ever. Congratulations for your brother, and I m relly sorry. But the important thing, he s always remembered for many people.

    Temuco. Chile. South America.

  • dixonite ! am now searchin fer that! thanks M8!

  • @shieldwolf49 - You're quite welcome! Let me know if you find it. I haven't actually found it however, I have seen some live performances on YouTube that they performed in concert, like, "Hard on You", and I thought it was pretty good.

  • loved this band, so underrated.....and Kevin MacMichael was very underrated as a guitarist, I think....his work w/ Robert Plant is top notch.....

  • Beautiful composition and perfectly produced.Poignant lyrics with beautiful music. It may not have gotten the airplay, but it is still a hauntingly beautiful piece of work.Thank you Cutting Crew.

  • wanna see another great cutting crew song? click my channel or search "awesome cover i just died in your arms tonight!!" it's awesome, you won't regret it :)

  • shame cuttin crew has no new songs! ( if there be any please tell me)

  • @shieldwolf49 .....I think they put a new CD out in 2006, called Grinning Souls...everybody in the band is different except the singer, Nick VanEede...I have yet to hear it though....

  • @dixonite

  • @mjmacmichael - sorry, it looks like your response to my post didn't fully come through. regards.

  • Amazing to see this video. Can't believe how much I've always loved this band, and felt they should have been "huge". This song just takes me back to an amazing time in my life, and even 20+ years after this CD came out, I can still remember the day I first brought it home and blared in on my stereo for weeks!!

  • A great song. A beautiful video.

  • I never had the Pleasure of Meeting michael but did have Nick in my wee studio in Perth for a week not long before the Scattering was due for release great memories

  • Cutting Crew deserved more success, great band. Broadcast and The scattering are great albums.

  • Saw the Cutting Crew near my home town in Waterford - Ireland, just before they released this album. They played 2 tracks off of the album and on first listen they sounded great. This was released here and U.K. on CD only, a first at the time to the best of my knowledge. Recorded in DDD (fully digital) it is an amazing album and a little hard to get until recently. Just received the new-released version today from Cherry-Red records with 3 demo tracks added. Don't have it? - Get it!

  • i{m from mexico, and for 4 wonderful months been in london in 1988. the summer of cutting crew. this band realy afected my life, i just said this was my life soundtrack. in fact i nemed my doughter sahara for this band. she is 10 years now but in 5 years in her sweet 15 we will dance the sahara song. i really love this band. one of the least heard in mexico but the most played in my life.

  • God bless Cutting Crew. What a great great great band!

  • An absolute fantastic and unique song from Cutting Crew. They never did music like this anymore...

  • where did this jem come from ???? I want the 80's back NOW "stamps feet"

  • wow

  • CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC

  • So sad I was stolen this CD from my car and now it seems hard to find it at the music store. I just hope that delinquent enjoys it as much as I did. That time I didn't matter my tools, just my CCrew music.

  • @Ralpymorris New released version of the scattering album is now available from Cherryred records!

  • this is one of the most beautiful songs I know. Makes my eyes water every time. thanx a lot for upping it.

  • I still have the 12" vinyl and still play it everyday. A truly mesmerising song. How was 'I Just Died...' number 1 when this gem went un-noticed!?

  • Thanks for posting.I turn it up and shut my eyes and it gives me chills with memories of my younger days. This song is beautiful.

  • Loved this then, love it now. I am reliving my 80s tunes this evening. Beautiful

  • A haunting gorgeous song that showed what a diversed talented band Cutting Crew was & still is.

    RIP Kevin McMichael

    You'll never walk alone.

  • 2:00 RIP...Kevin Scott Macmichael (7 November, 1951 31 December, 2002)

  • Amazing that such a hidden treasure could bring the nearly 30 people that remember it together -- some 20 years later. (without the Internet, this gets forgotten) Count me in! Entire album = great; This track = top Cutting Crew song; don't forget about Brag, tho it itself is a masterpiece. BTW - my tape died years ago, but for $7 on amazon (shipping included), I bought the CD a year ago - well worth it!

  • Super, diesen song mal wieder zu hören. Habe ihn vor kurzem erst im Radio gehört und bin dadurch wieder drauf gekommen.

  • beutiful

  • This is quite a departure from the Bon Jovi lite sound of Between A Rock And A Hard Place. And a vast improvement. This song reminds me of the old Spandau Ballet song Through The Barricades.

  • bon jovi confessed he is a big fan of cutting crew.

  • What a beautiful song! Was it released as a single??

  • una de las mejores canciones de cutting crew

  • i just about remember this song, but i did not know it was the cutting crew, i love the song, and i also love been in befor

  • A melhor combinação já feita para uma canção e um clipe.Fotografia magnifica!

  • This was a great song. Loved the strong Celtic influence with the penny whistle. This song could have been used in "Titanic"...

  • Cutting Crew rules.

  • Great to hear this song again...FAB!

    Thanks*_*

  • Great video thanks for posting it...

  • Fantastic inspirational band, they gave me the soundtrack to my youth, their music is still superb 20 yrs on!

  • I liked the Broadcast album a bit better than this album, but this title track could be my favorite Cutting Crew song of all. Very well done. Haven't seen the video before. Thanks for putting it up.

  • This was my favourite of all.... Too bad they didn't airplay it on radios ..... This is truly an amazing song! It could have gone to a #1 hit also. By the way, my brother Kevin was the lead guitarist. Truly remarkable music! May Kevin rest in peace... Your music is with me always my dear brother.

  • Yes they wrote some great music, yes broadcast was years ahead of it's time,

your brother from what I understand was quite

a producer and your brother and eddy were a team... from the scant amount of googling eddy speaks often about his incredible talents

and him as a person... thanks for sharing

and thank you for your brother, he sure made

my world better from his music...

  • MJ: Almost 20 years ago, I was probably the only person in my North Carolina town to buy your brother's second album. This song hit an immediate chord with me, because within a few months, I enlisted in the Army, and just like the song, I left my parents' home. It got me through basic training, and remained a favorite for several years.

It has been quite a while since my cassette tape expired, and CD copies are very rare. But hearing this song on YT brought a lump to my throat. Peace!

  • hey jeff on ebay you can find cd's and if you go to inkstop it's a techie store they should be able to direct you to a place to cut the song to an ipod or mediaplayer or some kinda new listening devise... I am almost sure you can download this ablum as well.. if you put or google, download and cutting crew I am sure some listings will come up. Buzz me if you have any problems... like the entire album is great road trip music... good luck

  • Jeff, your story is alot like mine except I was joining the Navy.....and the song has ALWAYS been a favourite of mine (so much so, that until I found this (kudos mrcuttingcrew) I thought I'd only be able to "hear it in my head"). :)

  • @mjmacmichael Sorry about the loss of your brother. I really did like Cutting Crew. May he R.I.P.

  • @mjmacmichael Thats cool man, I live in Amherst about 2 hours from Dartmouth. Good fucking song.

  • @mjmacmichael

I'm never ceased to be amazed that this song was not a major hit around the world, or the album for that matter mj. Your brother is sorely missed and a a light that faded too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

  • LiViLoOLa, you're very lucky- this song has been with me for years. It's one of the best of my best.

  • this is my godfather!!

i love him soooooooooo much and i am sooooooooo proud of him!!

    he is truly immense!!

    love you uncle nick!!

    xx
