  • That is a common snapper dude!

  • Where can I buy one of those???

  • i have an alligator snapping turtle too

  • My common snapping turtle..

  • chelydra serpentina

  • @PeaceArtMusic1 me too! at first it had round edges to its shell but its getting more jagged as he gets older.

  • That looks like a common snapping turtle. To the person trying to feed the snapping turtle lettuce, try feeding him/her fish, dead or alive.

  • I found one n it does not want to eat i gave him lettuce worms n turtle food from the store might it be to young and not hungry?

  • i found one about that size by the indian river, looked exactly like this... good to know that rumors of them in new york are true, i love cachtin em and when i found the little fella i brought him to a pond next to my house full of other turtles.. hope he survives and grows into a monster so one day i might catch him again

  • nice turtle. looks like godzilla.

  • @ACIDOCEAN1 LOL!!!!

  • Alligator Snapper - BIG HEAD! Long tail

Common Snapper: Long Neck! Short tail

  • @lefty101481 more like long neck! long tail!

  • @monitorlover1 I've had one of each before. The common snapper's tails get shorter when they get older. The t know alligators remain long. I really don' t understand why its so hard for people to tell the difference between the 2. they look completely different.

  • @lefty101481 know I know the diffrence but commons to me just have long tails

  • this is a common snapping turtle. their is no northern alligator snapping turtle they only live down south but common snappers are just as cool and can end up being cooler if they are cared for proprley and made frendlyer towards humans!!!

  • thats a common snapper!

  • not an alligator snapping turtle. thats a comman snapping turtle. when it gets bigger the ridges on the shell will flatten out. your expert is a joke. i have a comman snapping turtle. it looked just like that when it was still a baby.

  • It is a northern alligaator snapping turtle because snappers have smooth shell not spiney i brought one like it to a turtle expert he said it was a northern one!!!!

  • That is to a alligator snapping turtle it hasent matured yet and it is a female and i have one to

  • that is not an alligator snapping turtle

  • CUTE!

  • how much do they cost?

  • thats a common

  • get the camera closer i cant tell if its an alligator snapper or a common

  • thats a common snapper

  • anyone know where i could buy a baby alligator snapping turtle?

  • ill sell you a alligator snapper

  • why is there always a group of idiots who feel the need to correct the title, it';s a dam turtle you idiots :)

  • its a common snapping turtle because alligator snapping turtles have short necks and common CAN extend theirs. Also because their eyes are towards the top of their head, where the alligator snapping turtle has their eyes on the side of their head.

  • common snapper

  • thats a common snapper yo.

  • i have one!!!!!!

  • yep this looks exactly like my baby (thought to be an alligator snapper) but is just a common i guess, what a shame. anyone know where i can get a real baby alligator snapper?

  • looks like a common snapper to me

  • it looks more like a common snapper

  • @PirateSmoothie yeah i think it is totally haha wat a mistake

  • It doesn't matter if it's a common, common snappers are cuter anyways. :D check out my koopa and bowser! yours will be that big in 3 months :D

  • oh dang this was posted in may! hows he doin?

  • @zxeros nah dude thats not true only wen babys hahahah

  • yeah cause the cuteness factor is a baby thing, once they get to be adults they need to look brutal

  • nice turtle, but just a common, the look a lot like an allogator snapper wen young. make sure to care for it! =]

  • its a common!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • dumm shit its a common snapper

  • beautiful snapper, but yeah i think thats a common, alligator snappers have rougher ridges and if you want to know the difference, you can tell from the eyes. It looks like a 5 star point design and are olive green, brown and black, but i cant really tell what color your snapper is.

  • Sorry but its def a common snapper...to see the difference check out my channel

  • Ya its shell would be kinda spikey.

  • I'm sorry, but this is actually a common snapping turtle. But they look like alligator snapping turtles to an untrained eye.

  • ok i will

  • nice snapper, just please take care of it, they are beautiful animals and deserve to have the best habitat possible
