I really enjoyed looking at the old pictures. I tried to imagine where each photo was taken but didn't recognize anything. The music you put to this video is beautiful. Nice job!
Great i'll be looking forward to seeing it, i have two videos i did on Ironton you may want to see, "Ironton THE HIDDEN TUNNEL" and " Ironton THE FORGOTTEN RIVER ERA", Best Wishes, 777phase.
Nice job! Very well done video, did you do the music also? Nice guitar arrangement.
i've seen 37 flood pictures of my home town Ironton Ohio and they look very similar to yours, i can't imagine living through such devastation. Thanks for post this and keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Speaking of which. I'd also like pictures of some of the old things, to name something specific i'd like any pictures of the old road you had to take into downtown ashland before the viaduct.
Also a stock or good photo of the railroad yard before it was taken out to put the mall in downtown. Downtown in various developmental stages.
Thanks for the post. It is so hard to come up with old pictures of ashland. My mom has the book they sell at the musem and of course she grew up here so she has pictures from the 60's/70's some of downtown and a few of my grandparents photo's from various places but I would love to see some stock footage photo's of various streets in ashland circa 1900 1910's 1920's 1930's 1940's and 1950's if you have them or links to them.
Beyond the flood - I'm so impressed with a fine example of that era. A lot of towns looked very nice that are ruined today. Notice how people dress even to move about in a flood! Today they wear t shirts to church and at funerals. Love the houses and the cars and the old downtown.
Thanks for sharing.
There was a lot of suffering in that flood and some towns vanished or relocated due to it.
wow great video. I live in catlettsburg and i always try to find old pictures of the town when i can. would it be possible for you to email me someof these? I would only use them for personal collection

@777phase
Thanks, I did do the music.
I'm planning on another video of Ashland also in the 1930s, no water in the streets this time.
Hope to have it up soon.
