From a neurological perspective, I wonder what, if any, difference there is in brain function or control for the 2 extra digits. It could be that being born with the extra digits, the brain would be in a state to control the extra fingers at a normal capacity compared to those of us with only 10 fingers. Or maybe some other aspect of the brain works in conjunction with the Parietal lobe and Medulla.
