  • this is some of the finest craftmanship ever made anywhere . insane to ruin it.

  • what's the name of the song? composer? it's lovely. it says the sound of silence by paul simon but thats not what i'm hearing.

  • A beautiful building laid in history and structure taken away and ruined by thieves pure greed,

Thank you for posting this video

  • I trained there for a very short time in the early 1990s and that area of with the mosaic floor had the most draining and 'haunted' sort of atmosphere of anywhere I have ever been in my life. The building was beautiful in some respects and the destruction is very sad but what awful memories it must have held to create such a sensation of sadness even when entering it on the brightest sunny days as I did....

  • thieving twats are the ones that spoil it for the rest of us who just want to look around >:-/

  • @CairnRaider This is the way we wrecked the old asylums making holes in the roof and gutters so the water gets in. Evil places which must be destroyed!

  • @Stormtrooper1488 Your just a typical immature, narrow minded ( & probably jobless) twat with nothing better to do with your life than to help to destroy beautiful building like these just take a look at that flooring ffs!!!!....They are not Evil places as you say...maybe what went on inside them wasn't to good but what gives you or anyone else the right to go into building to purley to vandalise it????...You want my advice grow up & if you havnt got a job get 1!!!!

  • It's chavs who nick the lead I can see them out my window and my dad chased em off once for trying to steel the lead from our roof

    It was scary as

  • Sum of you r saying you wish you could see the floor it's in the main building but it's got manned. Sucurity and always locked

  • @steeleyboymagic I live closer than u I live literaly spitting distance away

    U know menston park

1 min walk from my house

  • Probably is considering it's so old and lots of history.. I wish I lived closer damn.

  • I hope no one burns this cause it's so beautiful.... Wonder if it's haunted?? That would be cool. lol

  • i live very close to it and there have been many rumors of ghosts

  • @heavenlyjessica We will only to find out if it haunted when they finish converting the place into new houses/homes which is apparently under way...

  • Such a beautiful building destroyed by dirty smelly gypos

  • where i come from lead is only ten cents a pound, so wtf ! y destroy that place?

  • it just looks like either massive flooding or a pipe burst and no one stopped it.

  • It's such a sacrilege. Once it's gone that's it for ever- never again will anything so amazing be built like this again. The council need to enforce the restoration of every last inch by the developer or curtail their planning permission for future developments (whenever that may be in this current climate!)

    Great music too.

  • it is so sad to see such a beautiful building in these conditions ... old times were the best i insist

  • we use to work there many years ago, what a shame to see it so unloved and desecrated by idiots. brought back some good memories though.

  • floor is amazing, wish i could of seen this

  • my god. how much is led worth>??? tramps! Wont be long before someone burns it down.

I had to visit my nanna just before she was diagnose with cancer. She slowly started loosing her mind. Think most of the hospital was shut down except for housing the old people.

  • Hello I'm a producer on an independent film. I want to use High Royds Hospital‏ as a location. Have you any contact numbers for it? If so I would be very grateful if you passed them on to me. Thank You

  • Tragic

  • Beautiful decor. Too bad it is being damaged so badly. Great mix of stills and footage and info.

  • omg its getting bad i hope that theif falls through a roof soon that would stop him

  • That's just savage. Can't believe how beautiful these old asylums were.

  • Water ... can't live without it, but it's so freaking destructive too :-(.

  • spot on report and an excellent choice with simon and garf

  • Poor thing (sarcasm) prob had to buy his next bottle or shot o' heroin or something.

  • That pikey has wrecked that place. The damage to the roof timbers from damp ingress cant be good.

    Nice video though!
