Got My Mojo Working was written by Preston Foster and recorded by Ann Cole in 1957 Muddy Waters recorded the most famous version in 1960 but he in no way had any part in writing this classic Elvis should have been releasing more material like this instead of it staying in the RCA vaults for years and released after his death This is what Elvis was best at R&B That Damn Colonel and his penny pinching ways isolated Elvis from musicians and writers Elvis was one of a kind but could have been more!!
Excellent as always Jackie your videos are always outstandin thanks so much for sharin with us. Love the photography . Have a wounderful week ahead my friend. God Bless and Take Care, Hugs & Smiles, Love, Jan
Hey, I Love this song, and others kindo of quick rock and roll like this one... Like Rubberneckin or Its All Right... Can anybody point me to those kind of songs ?
Written by Muddy Waters but Preston Foster is also credited. Elvis recorded it during a studio jam session on June 5, 1970 at RCAs Nashville studios, paired with Keep Your Hands Off Of It. It is available on Love Letters from Elvis and Walk a Mile In My Shoes-The Essential 70s Masters, which is where this version is from.
This is such a very exquisite, impressive, fun and cool song. I'm so very glad that Elvis decided to record this gem. As you know, the very first Elvis album that this song appeared on was "Love Letters From Elvis". I own the FTD two disc deluxe edition of this classic album from 2008. The FTD issue of this early 1970's Elvis album has much improved sound quality. This album has always been so very highly underrated. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.

does anybody know who was playing drums on this? the band sounds great.

@bird2music I think this is Ronnie Tutt on drums with James Burton on guitar. Elvis sounds like he's having a lot of fun.
