Would he still recommend it? I'm thinking about getting it as it's a unique and not commonly seen weapon in the field. However I am a bit worried about the semi- Auto. You say it doesn't always work..? Did you have that problem right from the start when you got it? Is it fixable? Or do you just reckon you were unlucky enough to get a slightly faulty one because in some games at my site were only allowed semi-auto. Also just a couple more questions, what's the fps and RPM on an 8.4v.

by the way mate i do rifle drill with the real SA80 rifle in the army and normally you can just cock the weapon back and the dust cover goes down as soon as you cock the weapon and usually u dont use the button at the back to release the working parts forward theres a button on the other side which is pushed down, also my pet hate is seeing twats like you calling it a carrying handle according to the westminster contract and lw and to all the Squaddies i know ia the rear sight assembley! dislike

No, SA80 refers to the weapons family as a whole:

L85A1 IW, L85A2 IW, L86A1 LSW, L86A2 LSW, L98A1 GP, L98A2 GP, L22A1 Carbine and L22A2 Carbine. SA80 is just a colloquialism, sometimes used to refer to the IW.
