  • an great reminder of how much we appreciate power! and a gas log fireplace! Thank God I had enough booze stored up!:)

  • I'll never forget that. We lost power for 10 days straight. I sat by the fire every night to drink liquor and eat junk food just to stand it.

  • i had power the whole time!

  • I had never seen anything so destructive before the ice storm hit last winter! It was like a silent tornado hit except everything was encased in glass! What was really bad was I was pregnant at the time & I still had to work @ my grocery store job despite no power for 4 days!

  • I lived(and still do)in Broken Arrow & worked in East Tulsa, by the way.

  • I live in Brookside in Tulsa. No power for me for 12 days. And no phone for another week. I do consulting work from my house, I lost 3 solid weeks of work income! Not to mention an OLD oak tree in back. The tree measured 46" at the base and the storm took every branch off of the canopy. It was a real mess - and it was COLD without power. At night it was pitch black and scary. I kept my "house insurance" (9mm Browning) with me at all times!

  • We didnt have power for 2 days!!

  • 2 days??...well weren't you lucky.. we were down for a week and a half

  • a week and a half off of school and no power for five days...

  • man! i remeber me and brother going outside and my dad told us to stay in the the street cuz trees were falling like CRAZY everywhere! it was cool you would here a crack then you would look and u would see a branch or a tree fall!

  • well I rather live in Oklahoma then down there when hurricane season comes along

  • This video doesnt even do the Ice storm justice...those that live here know what I mean.

  • i agree.. it was pretty much the crazyest thing i've ever witnessed, and the sound if you went outside was like a war zone.

  • dude especially if you lived in wooded areas. the tree were breaking like fucken crazy.

  • try not having power for 1 week

  • true it was like the great depression again...

  • try not having power for a month

  • some of my family lives up there and once I got up there all the trees were torn up. so it wasnt a good site.

  • That was crazy stuff. What a warzone.
