African slaves influenced the development of popular music and dance styles in Latin America during the colonial period(particularly the Spanish Caribbean), but Cuban soldiers fighting to spread Marxism in Angola and the Congo during the Cold War brought these distinctive Latin music styles back to Africa to influence popular music there.

my father was there between 1994-1995 and he got malaria! but he said Angola is very beautiful!! I love Africa !:D
