  • I fly planes but this....

    *whistles*

    This is wonderful!

  • great job for smal heli👍

  • una belleza de escala felicitaciones

  • Super Nice Job, WOW!!!!

  • im getting my T-rex 700 today im so exited :D

  • In fact is not difficult due the low weight of the blades, just do the same of bigger blades, no secrets.

  • Oh! You have balanced your blades very well! Any trick to do it?

  • Nice job. Don't worry about the ground effect voodoo, we all get the heebee jeebees in the hover sometimes. Better safe than sorry.

  • motor is a little bit slow and is using to much baterry life

  • Nice man!

I've built mine with a Gaui 5-blade-head and it works just fine. Wich motor do you use?

  • @Huebel01

    Hi,

I'm using the stock motor of the Kit...but i'm having troubles with short flight time ( 3 miinutes with one (1) 3S 800mhA battery)

  • @jameshoffmandude

There is no options to find this kind of heli ready to fly, this have lot of custom work !.

  • @jameshoffmandude

Sadly there is no place to buy one of this, at least not with all this details !.

  • Thanks for getting back to me Manuel. Happy flying!

  • @iamsonny7

Your welcome...glad to help if I can !!

    regards

  • beautiful easy flying machine. I would like to build one for a 600 or 700 version. Any idea wher I can get the kits? Happy flying from New York!

  • @iamsonny7

    Hi,

There in USA the best fuselage is made by Century ( San Jose-California), by my experience they build the better scale fuselages in USA ( and many others countrys to !).

    Take a look at Centuryheli

    Manuel

  • Hi,

Sorry, I dont have ( Yet !) an Hughes 300, maybe next year !.

    Cheers from Brasil

    Manuel

  • Hello mister, first thankyou for de great videos, also i like your clean scalework. I watch al your videos. do you have also a model of a Hughes300? Greetings from Holland jmmvangoor

  • That is so COOL!!

  • Man, nice one. Custom blades? How many helis you got now then?

  • E muito estavel o heli alem do vento que da para perceber nas arbores, parabens bem feito!!

  • how did you change the spin direction of the mainrotor and where did you get those nice doorhandles . i have bought the same heli on e-bay and want that heli look exactly like your heli . the head is from EP200 Gaui right ? . which flybarless system are you using with the head ? are these stock trex blades on the head ? greatings from germany ...... !!

  • @bananenfische

    Will answer in steps:

    1) the rotorhead is custom made with Align Blade grips only.

    2) the blades are Plastic 205mm Align modified with narrow chord.3

    3) to invert the rotation I took off the one way bearings then install upside down.

    4) the door handle are custom made

    5) the FBL system is the Align 3G, need to improve a bit yet, this video was only a test.

Soon I will post a video with the building steps, with many photos of the process, hope that help in your project.

  • Nice md500 and sweet flying like always, great looks, i wish had a bit of yr talent.

  • how did u make the tailrotor ? which parts did u use ?

  • @bananenfische

    Hello,

To make the cascade tail i used two set of Align 250 TAIL BLADE GRIPS, modified plastic ball links, and make a new shaft using an Align 1mm Allen tool, the shaft had exactly the same diameter of the tool, just need to dismount the belt gear of the original shaft, easy work, just need a bit of patience.

  • hey thanks for the shout out i watched the video again today and you scared the crap out of me when the tail boom was getting kind of close to the ground hey stupid ? but is that that the same md 500 that was in the tv show magnum pi? any way me and my bros are anxios to see it inall its glory with a cool paint job and those doors are fantastic we know how long it takes to get them to closr just right hats off to you bro be safe and enjow master peice all the way!!!!! over and out mycyver

  • nice bird and you are the master as far as flying that good in that wind awesome cant wait to see its new paint job keep up the god work! ,,mygyver overand out

  • @wrjstuka

Thanks, hope can finish this next week, full paint with external details. And I will post a video of the building to !.

    Regards,

    Manuel

  • Very cool little heli! Great job!

  • @JaleelJohanson62

    Hi,

Still working on it, external details and paint very soon...and new video to!.

  • Sieht super aus!

Werde meinen auch in einen Rumpf einbauen.

  • @Erv1399

Sie wollen ein für Sie ???

  • Great looking and sounding heli :-)

  • @scotsoft29

About the sound, there is a vibration that affect the sound, the tail shaft is blend, I will make a new shaft till weekend, hope the sound improve a lot.

The vibrations is hard to see.

  • wow very nice little heli and so many ditals

  • @Blazze150279

Thanks...there is more details to make yet, this was only the flight test !.

  • Wow ! Awesome littl heli. Great job :-)

  • @1BLADESHY

    Hello there !,

Thanks for your comments, I recommend this size projects, so fun to build !.

  • Sweet, as always. Nice work.

    Scott

  • @BUGGER9946

Thanks man..hope can finish till next week with paint and others details.

  • @VeryDaringAdam

    Hello,

This tail stop is normally in the T-Rex 250, there is no modifications on this part of the mechanics, only the rotor tail !.

  • @krumrick2 hUM INTERESSANTE ISSO, NÃO SABIA QUE EXISTIA ESSE TIPO DE ROTOR NESSA FORMA, ENTÃO MAIS UMA VEZ PARABENS PELO TRABALHO.

  • Nice work man!!!!!! How did you make the door hinges?

  • @MrPorichis

    Hi,

The hinges I made in Brass, soon I will post a BUILD VIDEO with many details of the entire building, in the video you will see the hinges, if you need another additional photo I will send through PM.

    Regards,

  • Great flying man, and very nice Helicopter too ;-) stay alive and happy flying :-))

  • @DirkME1022

    Thanks for the comments!.

  • I love it... just don't scare us next time in catching that cp heli in mid-air like that, please! That is ceratinly something I wouldn't do with headspeed in the 2,000-3,000 rpm area. :O

  • @stot2614

I know I know....I promisse don't do this again...was just to show how easy to fly is this litle bird !.

Btw...the HS is really slow, because the five blades you have extra lift and the four blades on the tail give you a good tail authority even with slow RPM's.

  • @krumrick2 Ok... got you. That is true about the increased performance resistance with more blades... what is the approximate headspeed then? Just curioius. Btw... I am buying a Gootch SE V2 (T-Rex clone) on Friday/Saturday. I will have a video up as soon as I can as I won't be able to fly where I normally would due to class size difference. I am so excited! :D

  • @stot2614

I think aprox. HS of 1800/ 1900...in the video the high mechanics noise come from the vibrations in the tail, already working to solve this.

Please send link of your video, is always good to know new mechanics, never hear about the Gootch SE before.

  • @krumrick2 That's the same headspeed as the maximum for the foam blades on a Thunder Tiger Innovator MD520. Yeah, Gootch isn't really new to helis, just to making their own. They have been around for 22 years according to one of my dealers. Why don't you subscribe to my channel, then you'll get the link sooner? ;) I am new to CP's, so I might not be as smooth on the sticks as you are in this video. Good luck on the rest of your MD500 project!

  • @stot2614

    Hello,

I'm already subscribed to your channel, and we are friends to !. I will change the status to be notified when you post a new video.

When you say "new to Cp" means collective pitch helis?

  • @krumrick2 That is correct. Until the U.S. supplier went out of business, I had a viable cp heli in my Thunder Tiger Innovator EXP, but since parts are extremely hard to find for that model now, I am having to buy that T-Rex clone I spoke about before. By the way, thanks for subscribing/friending me! :)

  • man ...how rich are you ..you got all kinds of scale helis..

  • @pinoydad0811

Nop...sadly i'm not rich...but I want to be !!! hehehe!. most of this helicopters are not mine, this one is for a friend that ask me to mount.

I like to experiment new modifications and make custom parts, so I do then I sell to start another project, today I have only thre helis, and two are for sell.

  • Awesome!!!!

  • @bladerunner469

Thanks man....and is not finished yet...hope till next week can finish and post new video !.

  • Nice , looks like you have been very busy with that =)

  • @SleepEat3D

Nice comment, in fact I like to talk about this, the size of this project is good for many reasons, you don't need to expend to much time and need only a small space to work....nice litle project !.

  • That is one hell of a project nice details and can't wait to see it with the paint scheme on it. I LIKE IT

  • Muito sweet :)

  • That is a sweet little conversion! Very nice :)

  • @LeChave

Thanks...is nice to work this litle bird...wait to see finished, and the next 250 project to come, for sure you will love it !.

  • @krumrick2 Do you plan making another scale 250 helicopter? What kind of full scale model do you have in mind?

Nice video and I like that tail rotor a lot.

  • @PHeMoX

The new project already started took the idea from a guy who lives in Germany, in youtube his name is Cebenpeter.

Is the Mil 24 Hind, the guy already do the fully scale and fully functional retracts and scale lights to !.

I will build a scale five blades rotorhead and three blades tail rotor.

  • @krumrick2 Sounds great! Let me know when the project is done or when you post a video about it. :-)

  • @PHeMoX

Take a look in to the Cebenpeter videos search for " Mil 24 Hind T-Rex 250" will appear his videos, I will do the same plus five blades rotorhead and three blades tail rotor like the real one.

  • lol nice video^^
