Hey Rich, This was filmed in Finland August of 2007. Jussi Ratsula put together this quartet to go to Finland and promote Barbershop at a music festival.
lead and bari are from OC Times. I'm pretty sure the tenor's not though. I think that's the tenor from The Crush quartet, who sing in westminster chorus with OC Times guys. No idea about the bass.
Actually it's written as a baritone post technically!!! Ouch, not many baritones that have A or Ab as solid as Sean. We decided to go with the GHG voice switching only at the tag to the intro, sean has that post way better than any of the others of us so it was an easy decision.
I'm not sure where you read that I was offended. You asked about notes and I was trying to answer your question and correct your error.
I know it's sometimes hard to hear stuff that's been recorded on a digital camera so I thought maybe you just couldn't hear all of the notes that were present.
0:46 - 0:51 oh patrick…those were the early days….

Great job on a tough song, especially for a pickup quartet. I'm very impressed!

The bass is J Friedman. Front row guy in MOH. My question is when was this?

That is a Base from MoH. The Tenor sings Tenor for The Crush. Sean and Pat both singing their respective parts, from OC times.

sean devine(oc times) on lead, matt gray(the crush) on tenor, dont remember his name(masters of harmony), patrick claypool(oc times) on bari

That's true...but shouldn't the tenor have the last post with the bass...not Sean.

I enjoyed very much... i would have liked to seen the old gas house gangs high note at the end :P

The voicing at the end may be different but all of the notes are exactly the same as Gas House Gang sang them.

I know. Dont get so offended :P. Its one of my top 5 favorite barbershop songs.

let me rephrase that...I recognize the lead and bari. Is this just a pick-up quartet on the side?
