The U.S. has a history of treating people that don't follow the status quo as second class citizens. We see this with the history of black, asian, hispanic, WOMEN, gays, poor and disabled. This country is based on freedom, so when did this country decide it was okay to deny freedom?

God absolutely didn't want gay marriage. He specifically said so in the Bible!! Try reading Leviticus 18 or Romans 1:27. Or maybe even check out Genesis 19 - the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of their sin (sin that included homosexuality!!) Actually, your an outright liar. The Bible makes it totally clear that God IS AGAINST gay behaviour and trying to legalize its actions. It is also against bestiality (people who "fall in love and want to have sex" with animals as well - called bestiality). This Amendment does not take away any rights or benefits. It simply takes the current marriage laws FL has, and places them into the Constitution. Defining marriage in the Constitution prevents judges from redefining marriage based upon their own beliefs. This Amendment will change nothing, it just protects the definition of marriage. Judges have the power to change laws, but not Amendments.

You can't marry animals because they can't give consent, just like you can't marry your favorite oriental rug or marry your house or car. Seriously who actually wants to marry an animal? Wow. This video shows exactly why we should reject Amendment 2. It's simply an attempt to codify the Bible in Florida. If this passes, that's quite a statement on the Florida voter: we care about pigs, but not about gay people, old people, and those who simply believe the sanctity of marriage disappeared a while ago. Just an observation,... When their hands first come together there are no wedding rings. After the baby is born, and the baby's hand is shown, the male hand is wearing a wedding ring.

Then, he only touches the female's hand. He doesn't touch the baby's hand! Maybe not his child?

"God's Design" has nothing to do with legal marriage! If so, I guess only Judeao Christians and Muslims have legal marriage. All other religions can not marry because they don't recognize "God".
