@DeathKitty123456 Transporting endangered animals across borders is illegal all over the world, not just in some countries. Cheetahs are listed in the IUCN Red List. There has to be a permit issued by CITES to transport them. Those cheetahs did not walk to the Middle East on their own to become pets. I know this because I work on illegal wildlife trafficking. somaliland - somali, same thing, same people, same traditions,same culture and most of all, same country. i've been hargiesa. it is beautiful and amazing. i want to go visit there again. im somalia, whatever siad barre did was ages ago and everyone makes mistakes. i feel sorry for whoever got hurt in the bombings of hargiesa. anyone who says that wasn't wrong and is from somalia should think again. i love somalia and somaliland. they are the same. Cheetahs are wild animals, there's countless of animal experts / handlers that have been attacked/ bitten by them. Although cheetahs do have alotta housecat qualities they shouldn't be taken lightly.

Human ignorance has no boundaries. Haven't humans done enough to virtually wipe the cheetah from the planet. They've gone through many localized extinctions, they've been poisoned, shot, poached, hunted, sold, force out of their habitat, and thus their numbers have dropped from around 100,000 less than 100 years ago to around 10,000 today. They're not pets! They're not here to entertain humans.

Also the reason they are going extinct is because they gene pool is rather small and there is a lot of inbreeding. zoos always check the DNA of every cheetah in the breeding program so not to inbreed that's how bad it is and many have very low sperm counts. do some research.

also cheetahs have been found to love domesticated life. they adapt very well and cheetahs enjoy a pampered life with humans and are often easily tamed and trained. they are non-confrontational animals they fallow the flight of the fight or flight response because they know that any injury could be a death sentence. they aren't as strong as other animals infact many breeds of dogs are much larger than a cheetah (they are only 80-140 LB in weight and only about 2126 in tall 2842 in long)

Yes, & the areas where this has taken place they've gone through localized extinctions. They have genetic challenges however they had made a nice comeback to around 100,000 animals less than 100 years ago & then human impact again started to take a toll on them. Hunting, poaching, posioning, wars, loss of habitat, reserves (cheetahs don't do well on controlled reserves), farmers saw them as vermin for years & shot them on sight. Human impact not genetics is the primary reason they're threatened.

That would be false. Cheetahs numbers were around 100,000 animals less than 100 years ago. In fact, 9,000 to 10,000 were shot in the 1990's as they were considered vermin by local farmers in parts of Africa. I don't keep any pets. All dogs come from wolves & cats descend from wild cats. As a result of human interference millions are murdered every year because they are abandoned by their owners, abused, starved, etc. There's nothing "natural" about getting shot or living on a controlled reserve.

Humans do many things alledgedly out of love but in the end it's out of selfishness and self-benefit. As stated, and even the preeminent experts agree at the Cheetah Conservation Fund, cheetahs were virtually "loved" into a localized extinction in India. If they were never in captivity there'd be none captive born. One day in the wild living free is worth a lifetime in captivity to a wild animal. It's just something you feel when you see them in the wild.

Somaliland exists since the 18th of May 1991 and they have their own government. They seperated from Somalia due to the problems Somalia has.

The problem is the following : they belong to the internationally unrecognized countries.

That means, that they are seen as an so called "autonomous region of Somalia" by foreign governments. The Somaliland government works hard to change that.

I hope, that Somaliland gets the diplomatic recognition that they deserve.

The National forest of Somali was used up for firewood, meat, and hides for money. The cheetah was most likely killed as well in the civil war. Everything that was beautiful was killed or destroyed.
