  • Three problems: 1. His beliefs conflict with gayness. 2. He talks about this in public. 3. The woman he is talking about was annoying as fuck. If she hadn't talked about her dyke fiance all the time like others talk about their boyfriends all the time, the man wouldn't have said anything.

It is mainly about this woman being an insensitive human as most faggots are. They are very aware of THEIR feelings but don't give a shit about others' feelings. Just like the women who sputter about their bf

  • He should have been fired...she did not bring up any controversial subject...she simply spoke of her wife... he was the one who spoke out against something completely normal and in the state in which lives....legal......Keep religion out of the work place.....

  • @TheMhunky So true! She was not talking about homosexuality, she was talking about her love.

  • Try to speak the truth and love, by telling her that she's a horrible human being living a horrible lifestyle.

The manager might of been wrong, but Peter essentially got what he deserved.

  • You know it's FOX "News" by the way it's presented. Yeesh. This guy is a numbnut and seems like a closet case, sadly... YEEESH.

  • gay people are vermin of the earth

  • Who want to bet he wouldn't have said anything if the woman's fiance was a dude? This guy isn't complaining about mentioning relationships in the work place, his problem is with people mentioning homosexuality in the world place.

And if he can't deal with a gay person mentioning their love life in the same way 90% of straight people do in off-hand comments throughout the day without being an uppity prick about it to the woman, then good riddance to him.

  • I would have kicked him in the nuts so hard his voice would be 10 octaves higher.

  • Absolutely wonderful to hear this. I can't stand the stupid bigotry that revolves around the stupid belief that the people different from us are somehow inferior or need to be "fixed". I'm not gay, I have a good friend who is gay. The funniest part is that he acts no different from any other guy who grew up in a broken home and has his own issues and hurt feelings. If this guy shoved his nose into another woman's business and shoved his morals on her, he deserves to be fired.

  • "She kept talking about getting married to her fiance. I felt it was inappropriate" What a dickhead.

  • Why

  • of course this was on fox news, the man is a BIGOT and deserved to be fired.

  • I would have fired him too

  • The manager was setting him up to get fired, he should have just kept quiet and said nothing. But I know where he is coming from Homosexuality is bad stuff.

  • This guy is the reason why I hate certain religions ..

  • im a christian and i am not at ALL against gay marriage. my uncle just got joined in a civil union

  • he could have avoided breaking discrimination law (and employee contract) by telling the coworker or manager that you were uncomfortable with certain personal conversation.

The opposite situation would be if this guy constantly talked about his religion or church at work. If his co-worker said his religion was "bad stuff", then she may be fired.

  • This 'so called fiance'. What a dick.

'Trying to speak the truth and love'. In other words, "Your a damn lessie dyke."

"brought up references to her homosexual lifestyle"... was she talking about her wedding?

"Christians are excluded from that" What a dick.

  • being as christianity is a social disorder based on a sadistic make believe god written by ignorant men thousands of years of god, I am offended by YOU talking about your relgion or cult christian beliefs. And btw., she talked about her partner and she is allowed to do that unless the discussion is x rated like with any conversation-- The fired guy is an ass

  • My father was forced to resign from his job on the city council a few years ago due to the local press making ridiculous accusations of “racism”.

All he did was interrupt a colleague (who happened to be black) during a meeting by doing a silly ‘chimp’ impression- waving his arms, smearing banana on his face & making “Oo-oo-uh-uh” noises. It was obviously just a joke (fellow council members laughed) taken out of context & blown up out of all proportion- his life & career were unfairly RUINED.

  • Lol I love how bigots cling to the bible only when choosing to judge and discriminate.

  • Don't bring a lawsuit, Peter -- you will lose.

You were wrong, and you were fired for good reason.

She could easily win a lawsuit against you because you violated the civil rights by engaging in hate-speech against her.

Nobody said anything about your religion, and if they had, I'd be backing you on this, but you crossed the line when you criticized her orientation.

BOTH are equally protected, and in this case YOU are the offender.

  • I'm all for Christianity, but hate-speech is not to be tolerated in the workplace (or anywhere else). He deserved to be fired, and I hope that she also sues him for emotional damages and wins a bundle of cash.

There, I said it. Now the false "christians" can crucify me for it. Go ahead -- that's your cue!

  • @MamaMario13 To be honest I'm not a hateful person and I personally don't treat people with the same amount of contempt that you have just shown me. Just because homosexuality is culturally accepted in some parts of the world doesn't mean it is right much like promiscuity regardless of gender. At the end of the day we have ALL sinned and fall short of God's glory and if you wish to ignore that then don't say you weren't warned :) don't worry - I will pray for you like Christians are called to d

  • "Constantly bombarded...?"

    Google: HETEROSEXUAL QUESTIONNAIRE

  • This may ease your conscience:

"...As a result of this serious research, Rabbi Steinberg-Caudill is completely convinced that THE ORIGINAL HEBREW TEXTS OF THE TORAH (the Hebrew Chumash - the Five Books of Moses) HAD ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SAY CONCERNING HOMOSEXUALITY AS WE UNDERSTAND THE TERM "HOMOSEXUALITY" TO MEAN IN TODAYS WORLD!..."

Google: TEACHINGS OF THE ECOKOSHER REBBE - HOMOSEXUALITY & THE HEBREW BIBLE

  • As Christians we are taught to love one another but that doesn't neccesarily mean that we have to condone somebody's actions if they are against what the Bible says. We love people by encouraging them to love God and do good godly deeds, discourage them from sin and pray for them.

This man did nothing wrong and the fact that someone can lose their job over something like this is a complete disgrace. The company has now showed to the world that it doesn't have an ounce of common sense.

  • @sjames1066 This man's employment was contingent upon a nondiscriminatory agreement he signed, as was the employment of every other employee of Brookstone. This agreement specifies that there is no tolerance for employees making negative comments about one another's race, religion, sexual identity, family or marital status, etc. Saying "he did nothing wrong" is idiotic - he broke the rules he agreed to, and he knew the consequences in advance.

  • He's not homophobic, he's homosceptic. What is wrong with having the opinion that homosexual behaviour is ungodly, against nature and sinful. We should to have the freedom to express these views and if people are insulted well then don't talk to them again - seriously has the world gone completely mad that we now have to police what people think and say?

He has a freedom to express his Bible based views much like the colleague has the freedom to express her sinful lusts.

    As Christians we are

  • @sjames1066

Sinful lusts? ungodly behavior? The catholic priests would like to have a word with you. Oh, and please bring along your young son.

  • @sjames1066 you should be insulted for having those views. You deserve to be treated with ridicule and contempt because your beliefs are stupid and outdated. Stop saying you are doing things "out of love" when it is obvious you are just full of hate and any reasonably intelligent person would know that

  • Maybe you Christians should keep your damn noses out of peoples lives! Everyone hates your religion because your the most judgemental and the most horrible people on this planet. You think your faith gives you the right to treat people like dirt, just because of their differences! Well it doesn't! You say your all about love and fairness. BULLSHIT!!

  • gays are nasty filthy vermin

  • @thatcrackmixtapes no that would be you homophobes

  • @andrewutube1000 yeah, of course you do. i'm one of them wacky liberals. but i also have the freedom to say what i want...makes a bit of a pickle don't it? speaking of which, i could really go for a pickle right about now...

  • @andrewutube1000 i dunno if you'll get in...i hear God's a pretty strict gate-keeper, and apparently he's not too keen on people passing down his judgements for him

  • drinking game: every time someone says 'homosexual', take a shot of tequila!

  • @andrewutube1000 i'll see you there you hate-mongering fuck *thumbs up*

  • Hi, as a Nazi, and i am uncomfortable with you mentioning your family (they are jewish) your parents (theyre probably jewish) or your wife (jewish) or YOURSELF (your jewish). You keep mentioning other people that is that may or may not be jewish, and its disturbing me. You must understand i hate your kind and wish for you to perish, which is my purpose, apparently. So please be more tolerant and go die. Thank you

  • Oh yeah: it's not like christiaans, in the past, haven't fired people for being gay. That NEVER would have happened!!

  • Christians: about the only group that can say "love", and be condescending and judgmental and spout so much hate in the same breath.

And yet I do have have a christian friend. There's a saying: "Do NOT be christian. Be Christ-like". If more christians listened to that, the faith would be SO much more pleasant and awesome then it is!

  • He's says this like she was talking about how she and her fiancé had sex and stuff she was probably just talking about her like most soon to be married couples do like her favorite flower is a rose and he was instigated because she said it was a girl he's trying to justify his own homophobic actions by making you thing she was saying perverted things

  • @emopanda522 She probably was just talking about like where the wedding was going to be instead of what types of sexual positions really turned her wife on.

But unfortunately we don't know for certain.

  • "referencing her homosexual behavior with her homosexual fiancee"

Was she really trying to overtly state her orientation or was that just how it felt to him?

  • It seems obvious (if you see the guys non-Fox video commenting on the subject..) that at first he said "Oh, where is he taking you on your honeymoon" and the woman Said oh, no it's a "She",so she kept on bringing up the "she' to get his goat, which she was successful at doing...

  • "I went to the chapel to pray about it". Now that's rich.

  • If the gay coworker was talking about gay sex then that is sexual harrassment and this man had the right to complain. If the gay coworker was just talking about her fiance in a nonsexual context, then this man had no right to complain. Basicly, a homosexual merely metioning their partner is not grounds for complaint. For example if his gay coworker said, 'I like swiss cheese, my partner likes cheddar' that is not sexual and he had no right to complain; to do so would be sexual harrassment.

  • They gotta love playing martyr as they've no other way to get any attention...

  • What if this dude was a Muslim? Do you think that dumb lesbo would have have been yacking about her "marriage" then?

  • @ma7799 yes, y not? theyre not all suicide bombers dude

  • So noone should have family photo's on their desk?

  • Your ignorance is just plain nasty, gays dont need to have babies, theres enough of your whores dropping them out like feces, we gays then raise and care for the babies you throw away, along with your aging parents, so you is NASTY, you ignorant thing. Besides the love gays have is absolutely natural, now the act of sex may be in question but you christians who love to throw crap out there, married in your false holybed or not, you are guilty of the same quote "disquisting" acts sodomites etc

  • This is why I despise people who bring their own personal religious beliefs into things. First off, referring to her Fiancee as "so called". If he has the right to talk about his lover then she should have the right to do the same, as long as she wasn't talking in detail about sexual acts or saying something that would be inappropriate no matter whom said it.

  • It wasn't his beleifs that led to him losing his job, it was what he said. He could have just said that he was uncomfortable talking about it. You don't need to bring you beleifs into it.

  • He deserved worse than that. "I felt uncomfortable about it, but she kept mentioning it.... I tried to speak the truth and love.....". Christians should either shut up about that which doesn't concern them or just kill themselves. Assholes.

  • It is dumb that he got fired but he he when about it the wrong way.

  • In all fairness, she shouldn't be bringing that up at work and it was just his opinion, however, he shouldn't be pushing his views on someone else. How would he feel if he was saying how wonderful his god was and then someone told him that he shouldn't be doing that because it's "Bad Stuff". But don't you love how he says, "She has been struggling with her homosexuality" hahahahahaha...he makes it sound like cancer! The asshole! LOL

  • Now, to change the subject. I have a problem. I would like to know why Elizabeth Hurley and journalist from VOGUE magazine lie. They prefer to lie than to make a mistake. Why? I would like to tell you a story about Elizabeth Hurley. Do not believe what VOGUE publishes, because it lies.

  • I find it hard to hear what this guy is saying over the sound of my gaydar going off.

  • Fair and balanced???

  • I'm sick of these people who take their faith way too seriously -- that's your mental illness - not mine!

  • "Can your faith cost you a job?"

Not usually. Luckily, this was about hate, not religion.

  • i think we are missing alot of the story here. there is a difference to telling someone you feel abit uncomfortable with the subject matter to telling them they are sinning against god and going to burn in hell for all eternity.

if he said he was feeling abit uncomfortable she would have shrugged it off and not talked about it around him, but telling someone they are sinning like that, yeah, this is the response i would expect.

  • "Speak the truth and love" Love is to tell a person that their chocie is partner is unacceptable to be discussed. Then he should never mention his wife/girlfriend if his co-worker in front of theirs. yeah, that's love all right.

  • The woman was excited about getting married, asswipe, YOU are the intolerant one, not your workplace.

  • It sounds like this lesbian co-worker was just talking about her fiance, like straight people would talk about their girlfriend/boyfriend or husband/wife, but this guy is making it sound like she was talking about her lesbian sex acts.

  • "so called fiancee" oh shut the fuck up you walking colostomy bag.

  • @vaguelyreptilian

It is "so-called" because it is a farce to make them feel better

  • ma7799, you're not very bright, are you?

  • it's true that he's in the wrong but if you think about it, It's called "homophobia" and phobias aren't a choice, the man was raised in that kind of enviourment. So I sympathize with his condescending ignorance.

  • @electorg Homophobia is a misnomer. Phobias are irrational fears. Homophobia isn't a fear of homosexuals, it's more of a hatred.

  • What a Fucking Shit bag this punk is........ hes probbly a closet gay himself. those are usally the ones who hate openly gay folks. and then we find them in airport bathrooms tapping there feet for blowjobs......... Creepy GOP Fucktards

  • He wasn't fired for his faith, he was fired for being a bigot. Plain and simple.

  • @burchdc you still can't fire someone for that. simple and plain. he was using is constitutional rights.

  • @TotallyMeAwesome223 don't give us that bull shit. he was fired, fair and square. constitutional rights don't include prejudice of any kind, any time. it wouldn't be tolerated for blacks, it isn't tolerated for homosexual people. get a fucking education you nob head.

  • @BeauG92 "get a fucking education you nob head". your fucking hilarious. besides, if i'm not talking to you then shut the fuck up and move on you bitch. and i have a good education. just because i won't accept fags doesn't mean I'm not educated. it just means i don't accept fags. you mad? good, stay mad. because i don't give a fuck.

  • @TotallyMeAwesome223 do me a favour, you washed up little has-been. i know homosexual people that are more loving and kind and genuine than a wizened little nobody like you could ever aspire to be. you make me sick. goodbye.

  • @BeauG92 and you still think I give a fuck? no i don't. i hope god strikes them all away at one time. make the fucking world a better place. fuck all those dirty aids having fags and you faggot.

  • @BeauG92 and it's spelled FAVOR dumb fuck.

  • @TotallyMeAwesome223 maybe in American English. but i come from ENGLAND, the place the language originates from. don't try and correct me on grammar, because i will destroy your disgusting homophobic bastard self.

  • @BeauG92 I was in the National Honor Society. Graduated with honors from one of America's top private schools. Next year i'm going to Oxford University and I was my schools top student ambassadors. If you want to go toe to toe with me on grammar, then go ahead bitch. Bring it. And just because the land you stand on is the originate of the English language, it doesn't mean your automatically a pro at it. You still could be stupid. Dumb bitch.

  • @TotallyMeAwesome223 definitely don't believe a word you just said. your language says otherwise, not to mention the fact you used "your" instead of "you're."

    you complete tard.

  • @BeauG92 how about you go fucking die you fucking retard. fuck you, fuck fags, and fuck all dumb ass european fucks. hows that grammar. fucking bitch. besides when i said your, it was a fucking typo. shit happens. but you wouldn't know.

  • @TotallyMeAwesome223 you have some SERIOUS hate issues man, and you know what's even funnier? you claim you're a Christian. what a disgrace. you're about as Christian as a slice of halaal meat, so I suggest you quit dragging Jesus' name through the mud. you are horrific.

  • He does not oppose homosexuality as a Christian as I know many Christians who condone homosexuality and gay marriage. I am a gay Christian. If she simply mentioned her fiancee how is that inappropriate when heterosexuals mention their heterosexual partners in the work force all the time.

  • PETER VADALA IS A HUGE DOUCHEBAG!! Why am I saying that? Because he was providing absolutely NO conversational context! The woman was probably having a normal conversation, and the only reason he got offended and spoke is because he heard the words "gay" and "homosexual" and got his panties in a fucking bunch. Was the woman describing in vivid detail some crazy sex she had? I would say HIGHLY UNLIKELY! He's just an uptight douchebag with lead in his brain.

  • "reporting fair and balanced cause this is fox news... lol..."

  • It seems to me that christians are the only ones around that DON'T have the right to thier opinions. Christians do not have freedom of speech or freedom of religion anymore. It is like the days of Sodom and Gomorrah and just so you know how that ended...the whole city was DESTROYED!!!! So yes, God does see sexual fornication as a big problem and He will deal with it. Good for this man for taking a stand. Sorry if your toes were stepped on but I'm tired of christians backing down. STAND UP!!

  • This man is a fucking moron...His coworker was probably excited over her "so-called homosexual fiance" and was just on cloud-nine. I'm happy for her. This Vadala guy is just an attentionmonger.

  • His belief led to being fired? Yup. Beliefs have consequences. His beliefs made him an asshole. He got fired for being an asshole. Question your beliefs.

  • I'm not saying homosexuality is wrong anymore than being a christian (as i am neither) but what gays need to realize is that homosexuality has been a taboo in nearly all cultures since recorded history. And weather it's right or wrong it will not be resolved in a day so they should stop acting like it. If a black in the 1920's in a southern state had implied he were equal or better than a white, he'd have been lynched. Gays need to be more conservative for now imo and stop over exploiting.

  • @espadacaptain I completely disagree. That woman he imposed his beliefs on have just as much of a right to talk about her loved one as any straight person does. I most certainly would have yelled at him if he said something like that to me.

  • @espadacaptain Homosexuality has not been taboo all throughout history. Ancient Greece and Rome were highly homoerotic societies and actually placed male-male relationships above male-female relationships. Let me name a few people you might recognize. And they're ALL gay: Oscar Wilde, Socrates, Tennessee Williams, Tchaikovsky... please note, they all belong to different time periods.

  • This guy is an abomination to society. I am not against Christianity, but I am against people like this guy who hide behind the real Christians and shove their beliefs down people's throats and expect everybody in the world to be like them. Discussion about religion has absolutely no place in the work environment, this guy deserved to be fired.

  • He is an idiot and deserved to get fired. Its her choice if she wants to talk about her fiancée', as any other heterosexual who rubs their marriages in people's faces. I am constantly bombarded with wedding pics of my straights friends on facebook and it makes me hurl. I don't say anything to them though do I even if I do think its sickening. One rule for one and another rule for another.

  • References to her "so called" homosexual fiance....condescending douchebag. No one cares what you think is "bad stuff" because no one cares about your imaginary friends in your head....go pop a squat on a burning bush and talk to it.

  • Religous people are annoying.I wish they would just suffer in their mental illness in silence and stop assuming everyone wants to hear about their baby Jesus and his magic book of Jewish fairytales.

  • This guy is quite fucked up. "Truth and love as Christians", oh please. You're preaching against what you're trying to shine upon everyone.

  • Is he forgetting that Christianity isn't the only hateful theology? If he was a deep Muslim or some sort of secular homo-hater, the same could have happened.

  • @dukeljk

You're going to hell. God does not love haters, the DEVIL does. You will burn for being a disgusting hateful sinner.

  • @dukeljk HA HA idiot.

  • @dukeljk is an internet troll. Don't listen to what he has to say.

  • "this coworker of mine who is struggling with this homosexual behavior"

    Condescending much?

  • He is a closeted homosexual. He obviously was molested by a priest, not to mention he enjoyed it! <G>

  • i dont think he should have been fired, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

the fact that he is wrong has nothing to do with it.

  • @AceofDimonds0 well its kind of discriminative

  • I think this FOX newscaster should be FIRED because he is probably GAY.

  • america is going down fast.

  • contraversial issues... like being excited about getting married?!

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!! your an asshole Christian

  • ....STRUGGLING with her homosexual behavior?

  • If she was actually making inappropriate sexual comments, then he should've gone to a manager... not doing so was a foolish error on his part. But considering he didn't do that... I'd stake good money that she wasn't being crude, but rather just talking about her family in the same manner that *everyone* does... and his anti-gay bigotry compelled him to shoot off his mouth... thus earning him a pink slip.

  • "so called lesbian fiance" - what an idiot. This is EXACTLY why religious belief HAS to be separated with state

  • Whoa... if he's not gay, nobody is

  • this man is an idiot

  • This guy is ridiculous.

  • How dare she talk about her loved ones at work.

  • He's pretty much saying, "my religion allows me to be a bigot"

  • Let idiots be idiots

  • That guy sounds so gay.........closetcase....

  • He stated his opinion. Where is the hate & discrimination? So all it takes is for a gay person to go cry "hate" & a guy gets fired? That's BS. This politically correct BS is dangerous shit. No less fucked up than right-wing nut-jobs. It's all ideological, agenda driven nonsense. Ppl need to just STFU, do their jobs & stop talking about bullshit on the job. Gays: You're not special. Stop rubbing your lifestyle in ppl's faces & being obnoxious about it. Fundies: Keep ur beliefs to yourselves!

  • he's just jealous he can't get a hot gf like she did hahaha

  • This prick didn't get fired for being a christian, he got fired for being a hatefull bigot. I'm guessing most of the people that worked there were christian. How can this retard say he got fired for being christian? He got fired for being hateful to somebody just because she was gay.

  • The question is... did she bring it up in general, or with him specifically? A conspicuous detail left out.

If he did bring it up as a lawsuit, he'd lose. Big time.

  • She initially went around the whole place, but when she got to him one on one, he was congradulatory thinking she was engaged to a man, then she corrected him saying it was a woman. That's when he tried to drop it. Once she sensed he was no longer interested in talking about it, SHE kept coming after him which gives anyone the premise to give a view, and he gave it, and she didn't like it. Then that's when she used her position and convinced HR to fire him WITHOUT even hearing his side.

  • Oh, how terrible, sharing about being in love! Isn't that a sin to express happiness? Oh, and about being betrothed - how terrible to be in joy for a change.

Sorry, but this guy is a real loser. Whine, whine, whine.

  • oh lord no! after the 4th time!

and wtf is this "so called homosexual fiancé"

  • To those with all the Internet hate on this man, you've failed to realize that #1 he didn't bring up the subject SHE DID, #2 he tried to drop the subject when it was her personal business, #3 Although same-sex unions may now be legal in that state, there is NO LAW that says one has to AGREE with it and anyone can disapprove of ANY relationship for whatever the reason. Brookstone handled that situation poorly, if they did that to me, they would be looking at a lawsuit FOR SURE!

  • @Tsuruta1 overall he wasnt smart to be honest.. (he can barely articulate correctly xD) why didnt he just tell her he didnt want to be bothered with private issues during work.. that wouldnt have been out of line at all. what a dumbass, seriously.

  • @2ndsB4 Actually he did try to drop it, it's the manager who kept coming after him once she sensed he wanted no part in discussing it. And being that she kept bringing up, that would give ANYONE the premise to respond. Even if she was marrying a man, one can still disapprove for whatever reason. It was never a HR issue.

  • lol, the women probably said "yea, I love my fiance" and this clown gets all bitchy.

  • Peter Vadala is a total cunt... gay people shall "behead" this right-wing idiot.

  • Being fired for saying something kinda stupid and disagreeable to another person shouldn't usually result in somebody loosing their livelyhood. That's simply wrong.

  • haha she brought up references to her homosexual lifestyle. I'm pretty sure she was probably just talking about her life and making conversation and mr. sensitive here just got all butthurt. And goddamn is that guy long winded even the fox news interviewer was cutting him off like it was showtime at the Apollo

  • Doesn't he have the right and freedom to choose what he likes or dislikes?

If he doesn't like gay sex, he doesn't have to hear about it, he doesn't have to talk about it.

He should have worded his remark more carefully, maybe: 'Homosexuality makes me uncomfortable.' but instead he imposed his view of their relationship.

  • Christians.. love... can you use those two words in the same sentence???

  • @bcuzikan christianity and love are like islam and peace: completely seperate

  • The way I see it the person in question was making reference to the person she is getting married to. The fact that this person is of the same sex is irrelevant, if this was a heterosexual co-worker he would have had no problem with it. He needs to learn that double standards don't work, after all Massachusetts allows same sex marriage.

  • Let's look at this positively..the bigot got fired!

  • Vadala and all the other irrational anti-gays are always such WIENIES!

It's hilarious, watching their idiocy overflow, unchecked.

  • sodomy is bad stuff, muff diving and butt sex boy bad stuff.

  • -"You´re reporting fair and balanced because this is FOX news"...

The amount of humour in that statement is beyond comprehension !

  • hes a fanatic, he needs to drop this religious nonsense.

  • @lmswentzeljr

damn right... he's a total cunt.

  • I hope he will have homosexual kids from his heterosexual relations :).

  • what the fuck is the lesbian lifestyle?

  • Also, I FORGOT to mention FREEDOM OF SPEECH! FREEDOM OF SPEECH, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! F R E E D O M O F S P E E C H!

  • Love is love. Fuck whoever says it's wrong. Be happy for them not tear them down for being themselves.

  • Shame on him for implying that she is struggling with anything. He is the one that seems to be struggling to keep up with 21st century society. Good for Brookstone for ridding themselves of a prejudiced man who felt the overwhelming need to bring that prejudice into the workplace.

  • He seems like a nice guy u know? At least, he is not one of those assholes out there on the streets wearing "God hates faggots" t-shirt. That will be REALLY offensive! GO GAY, HOORAY! ;) Christians and gay people should really get along!

  • I agree that he did act cordially, but remember he's on tv in front of the entire nation and he's looking for a job, so I wouldn't judge how he normally behaves by this one interview. Did you notice how hard he was trying to sound intellectual and loving, but kept tripping over certain phrases, as though he actually wanted to say something else? I've met his kind- they only APPEAR nice on the surface when it comes to issues of equality.

  • How ridiculous. This woman was recently engaged and excited about it. I doubt he wouldve had a problem with a hetero co-worker being excited about her engagement. If he did not want to hear about it, he could simply have said, Id rather not discuss relationships at work, or something along those lines. Instead, he implies she was talking about sex, then tells her he thinks her relationship is bad stuff. cont.

  • any one else notice the sexual tension between these two?

  • I think as long as he doesn't verbally insult that woman, it's fine I guess. However, a lot times I am really tired of this PROUD TO BE GAY bullshit! I'm not a Christian, but even I am disgusted by the fact that gay people just go around thinking THEY ARE REALLY COOL! Would they like it if I keep telling them how I have a fetish for masturbating in a pile of shit and cumming in my cereal every morning?

  • @Voodoofreak35 How disturbed you must be to think that your scenario is in anyway comparable to a woman being excited to share the news of her engagement.

  • What the fuck?! Do I have bad English or something? The news never mentioned shit on any person's engagement. All they mentioned was some woman talking about her gay lifestyle and a pissed off Christian talking smack about her sexual orientation. By the way, the Christian guy looks gay, u know neat hair cut, cute little face, soft spoken...lol WHITE BOYS...

  • I don't know your comprehension of the English language, but he clearly states that she mentioned her fiance four times- that was the extent of her discussing her sexual orientation. This man tried to make it sound like she was talking about her sex life by mentioning her gay lifestyle, but if you listen carefully, the only thing she did was talk about her engagement to her fiance. Yes, the boy is well-kept, but I'm not sure he looks 'gay'- more asexual :)

  • When did anyone say fiance in this clip?

  • @Voodoofreak35

    :48, :53, 1:54, 2:33

Didn't you watch the video before commenting?

  • Ok, he said the woman kept mentioning her fiance. But where did u hear the fact the woman was just sharing the information on her engagement?

  • haha his work place is intolerant towards his own intolerance, and I Wonder if he would want to have her fired if she told him he couldnt talk about his fiance at work?

  • you did a run-on sentence. You were supposed to put a period after period. but we both understand this isn't a spelling class; right?

either the man was forcing his belifs or he was fired unjustly. the opposition is silent without a representative to respond.

but according to the video we just watched. he said she did it repeatedly even earlier with a co-worker around. im asking YOU. is it right to talk about your personal busniess if your not on break?

    a judge would consider this

  • He needs to be flogged... Publicly..

And then sent to a real school, where he can start at grade one and graduate.

  • Opposing homosexual marriage is like opposing interracial marriage. Christians also opposed that and used their fictional book to justify it.

  • @nailycai really, huh, i know an interracial christian couple. i think your reaching a little far to down the christians.

  • @nailycai sex and race are two completely different aspects of humanity.. im sorry i cant say i understand how you would compare the two so easily.

  • You could tell by the way he evaded certain leading questions that he isn't being wholly truthful about the issue, and if he was so sure about his case he would be seriously considering a lawsuit, but of course he knows he was wrng and his case would be laughed out of court.

The guy is quite obviously a religious bigot who tried to push is faith on a co-worker, and got sacked for his bigotry.

  • well you can tell the guy isn't good at articulating his mind on the matter. but to be fired after a statement made when provoking's on the opposite end are smothering him is unjustified. and ill tell you what. if the shoe was on the other foot, and a man was fired for being gay. there would be an outrage against Christianity.

whenever leverage is given, it is abused. props to the man for not suing.

  • Errm, smothering him, in what way? She was excited about her impending nuptials, like any person would be, he could have ignored that, but no, he had to hammer home his bigotry disguised as religion.

Funny how a god has exactly the same views as the religionist, thats whey there are so many factions of Christianity, so that each can push their chosen agenda and claim it is their god they speak for. And it's amazing how many Christians claim that other christian aren't true Christians.

  • well he said that she repeated herself over and over to him about it. in the work place if your not on your break. you should keep your personal life to yourself. freedom of speech is advocated in our decleration. if his beliefs where that homosexuality is wrong, then he should not be condemned. if he forced his beliefs on her, then he would be in error. however he did not do so. so his superior is wrong. but we live in a country where men call good evil and evil good. so im not suprised.

  • So, someone else being boring is good enough reason to flaunt your bigotry then is it? Would the guy have reacted the same if she was talking about her impending marriage to a man?

We had a case here in UK recently of a woman praying for a child despite being asked not to by the atheist mother, if the woman had gone home to do it, then fine, but she had to make it a public spectacle in a hospital. and was suspended for flouting the wishes of a patient.
