All while only doing defensive jobs, I am NOT a mercenary. If you know your history, then you'd know that this has been going on since the Revolutionary War concerning American History, and up through Korea, direct-action offensive contracts were even openly acknowledged. Most of the contracting going on is basically throwing money down a black hole but if you say that yours is the "good kind" that saves money then I guess I'll hope that you are telling the truth.
@Joe402 I've been on 6 different programs in 4 years, all of which have downsized - sending contractors home as the work is completed. If they were filled by military personnel, they'd have to find them further employment and billets.
You are correct, there have been cases of exploitation by contractors and shady companies in the early years of the conflict (KBR, Custer Battles, etc...). I will tell you though that there are many protections and insane oversight in place now preventing that.

Without America, Russia would have probably had to fight their own 2-front war with Germany and Japan.

We were the backbone of the ally forces. Without the United States, Germany would have crushed U.K. and then turn their full attention to Russia and quickly take over. Russia could not fight Germany head on during the war. It wasn't till the Cold War that they developed their military.

I'm generally conservative, I served in the military in areas of active hostility. I have the balls to put my name and neck on the line. What've you done ? You're right though I'm not an american. My loyalty is to God/Jesus Christ. Eventually you have to grow up and deny anyone the right to own you, especially because you just happened to born here. Immigrants are more "american" than you, at least they are willing to make an effort and sacrifice.

My families came in the 1700's and again in the early 1900's. We've also fought in every major war with our blood too. I was born in Montana, lived in Colorado and grew up in New York. I am not a foreigner. Only in the military have I been out of the US. I renounce being an american because I am a Christian. I give my loyalty to God. He is the greatest. My friend, Communism and Anarchy are also very interesting in THEORY, but do not work. Realistically. The U.S. had the best system in history in the beginning which calls for a Very small limited government for the people by the people. It has now been hijacked into a bloated out of control european style mess. People will never be able to just walk around with no system of any kind without their being major problems. Nope WRONG. Caesar's tithe was not to an exact person. It was to his government because he is the head of the Roman government. Not personal but symbolic. It is the same thing as saying gove what belongs to Obama to Obama, (such as taxes) it was not personal. Therefore God validates Government so we live under some sort of law. Scripture states this in the old testament when it talks about it being wise for Christians to be polite to Government leaders if they dont attack religion.

Any of these W.W.II. cartoons with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, or any other Warner Bros characters ever going to be put onto DVD? If not, then I guess I can watch them here on YouTube. Although, I remember when Nickelodeon showed these cartoons back in the late 80s and throughout the 90s along with other Looney Tunes cartoons.

Many can not imagine how much the United States put into the war effort. We gave up everything to fight this war. There was almost nothing on the home front. Most residents had to grow their own food, the economy was in horrible shape, metal and oil were almost nonexistent... We even released a draft, one of the only 4 we released, i believe. Well, i know there was a draft, not sure how many we have had that is.

well the russians did suffer absolutely massive casualties due to Germany...but it was America's entrance and the American-British defeat of the Itaians and formation of a 2-front war that led to German surrender. Without America, Russia would have probably had to fight their own 2-front war with Germany and Japan.

You good sir, are a fool. The United States was fighting a 2 front war. We were keeping the Japanese navy neutralized while supplying the British war effort and our own war effort at the same time. We were the backbone of the ally forces. Without the United States, Germany would have crushed U.K. and then turn their full attention to Russia and quickly take over. Russia could not fight Germany head on during the war. It wasn't till the Cold War that they developed their military.
