Brian, 1 question for you. If we are standing 90deg. vertical to the ground. And having our #4 fully loaded, unloading of #4 should be parallel to the ground (the left arm never drop). Coz of the incline plane, requires the forward tilt of the spine angle, that give some golfers the illusion of dropping the left arm, and end up they are losing the width (running out of right arm). And have to raise the body (with the right foot) to compensate, as a result. no 2nd axis tilt & pivot stalled
Brian,I have heard about this drill before but I never tried it. After watching your video and the creative way in which you explained the drill, I went to the range and tried it... I never hit the ball more solid in the last 10 years that I have been playing this game. I finally felt what it was like to hit the ball first (hard) and release my hands through impact. I finally achieved the penetrating ball flight that I have been looking for. THANK YOU!
there is way too much fucking complexity to golf. I think i might quit or just keep playin with my "wrong swing" or whatever and keep havin fun and makin par and birdies every now and then.
this is a great tip. Especially, the point about hip turn matching shoulder tilt at impact (ie. 44 degrees open w/ the hips and 44 degrees right tilt w/ the shoulders) It may just be semantics, but make no mistake. Pitchers, quarterbacks, and good golfers do not conscioulsy stop their hip rotation. The lower body simply reaches a point where it cannot turn any further. Then the 'chain' snaps. Just turn as much as you can as soon as you can. That'll keep your hands and club lagging nicely
Brian, You EXUDE golf knowledge. You can't fake your passion for understanding and communicating the golf swing. I LOVE watching you and Lynn Blake to no end. Thanks for your natural ability to explain the swing!
Excellent video! Cleared up what hitting against a firm left side means. The drill instantly made me feel the correct FEEL and position. Really good work Brian!!!
This is how I was taught by my friend 5 years ago. He told my to stop my hip, then let my shoulder take over. I have tried many different swings, but this hip-stopping is the best feel for me. Imagine you can stop the hip right at the same position for every shot as your swing will be sooooooooo consistent.
I tried another swing for months, but I gave me less consistency. So, I had to switch back to this hip-stopping swing. In 150 yards, I can get the ball in 5 yards from the flag.
thanks Brian all these videos here on youtube have helped me alot. im really improving my game just by watching these and trying to put in practice at the drivin range.. apreciate it! keep the good work.. you should really be proud of what you're doing =)

I noticed this stopping of the hips when watching pros on the swing-vision. I like the drill.
Also Brian, you must be golfing a lot because you are TAN.
