hey please dont ignore this message i really need your help . how do i know which username and password to pick ? thats the part i'm stuck on . HELP ! i have a compaq computer . . i tried all the combinations but they didnt work . i could have typed something wrong but please help . thank you .
Guys here is the removal for the redirect virus. You need to check your Host file and lmHost file. You will see THOUSANDS of domain entries in their. Next open the registry and go to these 2 hives. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE & HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains delete everything except microsoft. Also go to the Key P3P 2 folders up and delete the history. You will see THOUSANDS of entries! If you can replace the entire KEY on both Hives!!!
If you have a Google Redirect problem in Windows XP, check the file C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc\hosts. It's a list of the IP addresses your browser must use for certain URLs. Some malware makes additions to the list, to redirect your browser's calls to Google and other search engines. These additions remain after the malware is removed and must be deleted by hand. The malware may also hide "hosts" from Windows and DOS: if you have Norton Internet Security, Power Eraser will find and fix it.
I think it's important to note that this may not fix everyone's redirecting issues. There are other ways you could be getting redirected, but this is definitely one of them. And thanks for the default password list. That'll come in handy.
i've been dealing with this fuckin virus for months before i eventually just gave up. i tried all of the anti-spyware/malware tdskiller, all that shit and nothing worked. stumbled on this vid and decided to give it a shot. i basically just rebooted my router. so far it seems to be fixed but this has happened in the past and the problem would come back so i'll update in a few days to see if i really got rid of the problem
@spyclanhectic didnt fix it. i've given up all hope on this fucking thing. only thing left to do is uninstall everything and start from scratch which i cant afford to do right now. thanks to the cocksucker who created this piece of shit virus!
@fuckinmetal1982 I had this for a while too.. turns out that one day when i ran a virus scan from malwarebytes and checked if i still had it, it was still there.. I ran it again a week later and i guess there were some more viruses that it didn't catch the first time, but now it's fixed.. get malwarebytes, if you already had it, get it again.. and make sure you run the virus scan twice, and make sure u cut ur internet connection off when u do it.. if all that fails.. get a mac
Fuck you asshole...this disconnected from my internet and had to call the internet provider and waste my time talking shit I know not of....THIS DOSENT WORK.
@cokecoke61 This guy's video showing how to set DNS back to automatic is spot on and completely right. If something went wrong for you, it's either because you don't know shit about computers or your ISP is retarded.
Didn't work. Neither did the TDSSserv disable idea or the hosts file deletion idea. Ad-Aware was the only anti-virus that detected the virus and when it tried to remove the virus, the symptoms popped up again after a few days. What if the problem resides in both the computer and the router?
if i use restore to default settings, do the acc info change?

Hmm... This is highly unlikely since new routers all have built in firewalls and virus protection. But good idea anyways
