Mount on stearing: Googel and find RAM CAMERA MOUNTS
Mic:
You cant just use an small condensator-mic from a PC-headset. It must be a dynamic mic because of the sound pressure. A ordinary cheap song-mic will do (size as a banana..)
Wind noise:
I use a stomach belt with a room for the mic. I put the mic inside, zips it and turn it around so the room is behind me, on my back. The cord goes forward to the camera, and Im fasten it with a tap to the tank .
Thanks for posting this. I was debating getting the quiet baffels for My softail Custom. Now i think I will to sept it down just a little. I thought quiet meant quiet. They sound great, Thanks again!!
The quiet baffles are great. Made it deeper in pitch and a little more backpressure for low end torque. They are very easy to install too. Also, the breather is a Harley Big Bore Intake I got from ebay. I ended up taking it back off since it made the engine run too hot. the backing plate didnt allow for a good seal so I took it off and put the SE intake back on instead.
how about the back shocks ,, are they a better ride then stock ?? what kind are they and how much??? my 05 sportster has a horrible ride with stock back shocks and want to change them out
I ended taking the Intake off due to it not making a good seal and causing the engine to run too lean. Maybe I installed it wrong. It looked great though.
Can you comment on the quiet baffles versus the standard ones that come with the slip ons ? was there a big difference ? also are you running a V&N fuelpak ?
This is on a 2005 So I just rejetted my carb. As for sound. It seemed to take out the harsh bite and left a lower rumble. However being a drummer, I ended up putting the Loud muffles back in :)
can you pull the baffles out? if so, how do you do it?

yes you can. got to remove the heat shield and then there is a screw to loosen at the end of the muffler. once thats off you can pull out the muffler

so you reckon its worth getting the "quiet baffles" fitted. I need to tqke it down a bit, too loud. Also is that a heavy breather on there?

Cool ride! How do you like the shocks?

very very nice!! The ride on the freeway at speeds of 65 - 80mph are so much more comfortable than stock. Also, bottoming out is not as bad.
