Nice Car!, I have one too. Mine's a 350, but I do have the 400 hood on it though. It's been punched out a little, balanced crank, mild cam, edlebrock intake with a holly 750. Am still in the process of restoring it. Trying to keep it "fairly original" lol. Will be the stock color meridian turquoise, with a white top & rally 2's.
There's this house near where I live and in front there is this collapsing barn with a green 68 that's been sitting for years now. I think when I gather enough space for it I'll contact the guy and make an offer on it. Just can't see good American muscle go to waste!
Nothing i hate more than folks who put all this money into an old car just o look at it.......yeah sure restore it and make it look nice and all but whats the use of having an amazing machine if your not going to drive it. I have a 68 chevelle and believe it or not i drive it to work everyday in the summer months......theres no way to resist driving it. Fully restored as well. I wouldnt put it behind a glass stand for people to just look at anyday. Get a grip..... drive the damn thing
Who said it the car doesn't get driven? The owner has had the car since he was 14 (25 years) and simply had me polish the paint to remove the scratching and marring it accumulated over the years from driving it...
Classic cars need to be driven I agree, but they are fair weather or weekend cars IMO....at least if you want to preserve the value of them that is.
If its a actual 15,000 mile car the price at $16,000 USD is cheap... I have a 68 Firebird 400 Convertible and when done $16,000 won't buy it... btw, mine is red, red and more red with white top...
Sweet ride! I am from UK, there is an impoted Firebird for sale with only 1 owner and 15,000 miles near to me, he is asking for £10,000 or $16,000 USD, does this about right for a mint low mileage example to you?
Sounds like a good deal to me. :) However much they sold for originally- divide that by half, since if it's near mint.. it should drive like it's new and all. Blah! I'd say it's a good deal at any rate!

Is this numbers matching? It seems like it should be Burgundy with a Black top.

Very nicely detailed, but originally a 350 or 6 cylinder car. Personally, I'm not sure about the mud flaps.
