ZKMX7 wtf have you been smokin? You think this is a computer sim?! I wish i could get CFS3 to look like that-lol! You should get back to your crack pipe and not insult the intelligence and integrity of folks who post such great videos of real aeroplanes for all of us to enjoy.
You're quite right I am a twit... Thanks for mentioning it. I'm only saying that to stop the abuse which turns up every few months. You wouldn't say that to anyone face to face would you. Why can't you be polite. All you get on a subject like this is abuse and swearing. Not very nice is it? You're really letting your country down badly, which I assume is the US.
@ZKMX7 Right then, how about this then: you sir, are erroneous in your assumption that this film contained computer simulations.
Perhaps YOU should have been better prepared to receive insults, since it was YOU that began it by insulting the film itself? By all means, if you think you can do better at making warbird movies, 'ave at it...
War is a human condition. , get used to it. We have been at war with one another for our entire existance and will continue to do so until we evolve to the next plane, if we survive to do so.
Features the only Sakae powered A6M "Zero" in the world. AND THIS IS IT.
Their example is the last of the Zeros. Armed with 20mm cannon, sporting a little armor plating, plus an exhaust collector ring with bent-back exhaust ejector tubes for a little extra thrust, this is the final version of the "Zeke". It flys swell! It flys often. Go see it. The museum is World Class.

Wonderful footage, particularly that of the P-38. The 'gunner's view' makes you realize what an impossible job it was for air gunners in Dauntless and Devastator types to defend their aircraft from a Zero. Imagine having to do it at Midway with a real jap on your tail. What guts those U.S Navy aircrews had!
mean when the hellcat comes into veiw behind zero nice

Nice video, but if this was a real incounter, that hellcat would of dropped his drop tank as soon as he saw that zero :D

I don't know why...something about these old planes...
just so much more elegant and beautiful (and vicious) than modern planes of war
I guess because they were actually fighting a real war, and engaging together...not just bombing civilians on trains

@agricolae101 actually theyve done more terror bombing than all that we have done with jets ever, they were still doing it in the vietnam war

Yep. Been there. My brother was an A & P at Chino airport. Not Planes of Fame, though.
Saw the Zeke and while there checked out some warbird restoration outfit and looked right into the windshield of a MiG-15.
I'm only 5'6".
There was also the fuselage of a Douglas A2D Skyshark between some hangars.
