  • I used to have that same feeder until my dad took it off and it fell and broke

  • Ahhhh no dye please! Great feeder but the dye kills them by causing kidney failure... I'm a hummingbird freak so I know this. Just 1 part sugar to four parts water = best.

  • Get the audio from this clip at thetunify doht cohm.

  • how wonderfull are these littel birds? My fave bird is the hummingbird.

  • 0:17 NO ITS MY NECTAR GO AWAY lol

  • I had a feeder like last year, mine leaked...nice video.

  • LOL It's hard to keep the feeders filled...I love these little creatures!

  • Great Vid. But...Why do you colour the water??It has been shown to be bad for them!

They WILL come to your feeder without the artificial colourant in the water.

It is RED DYE! not good for animals or humans

  • Could it be fruit juice? : \

  • I want to see one sitting still lol.

  • Wow amazing footage man! Thanks for sharing.

  • i got a hummingbird

and i have 4 days with it

i give him sugar with water

    do they eat something else?

  • i love standing right next to my hummingbird feeder and watch them drink the stuff, they're amazing little birds and aggressive XD

  • The insect at 2:05 is a red wasp. These insects

are territorial, and have a painful sting. It seems to me that the hummingbirds are careful and avoid this wasp. I've been stung by them and avoid them as much as possible.

  • @b0dhran If only hummingbirds ate wasps! They eat a lot of other insects, but I don't blame them for avoiding those nasty red wasps.

  • What is that thing flying next to the hummingbird at 2:05, I am having a disagreement with my boyfriend because he insists that it is a wasp but I think it is a butterfly! I would appreciate your response on this:)

  • I love hummingbirds so much. We have a feeder too.. but most of them have migrated =(

One day we looked out to see that the feeder was empty. A female sat there by the feeder and waited until I brought it back out. No sooner had I turned my back, she was on the feeder. =)

  • i have 2 of those feeders the hummers love them. i dont add red color and they still find it.

  • they are so cute, i have three hummingbird feeders outside of my house:D

  • Thirsty little critters, mighty quick too!

  • What kinfd of flower was that where a hummer was feeding from? Some kind hibiscus? I want to plant a few of them whatever they are.

    Thanks.

  • The flowers are pestemon, salvia, or crocosmia. I have dozens of hummingbird friendly plants and flowers. The ones they love the best are, crocosmia, lantana, fushia,(hardies and annuals) also trumpet flower, foxglove, hosta,(which will flower), honeysuckle, empress tree, chilean firecracker tree, grevellia, and orange peel cestrum. If you go to the local nurserys inquire about "lists", then they will call you the following spring when they come in. Happy Hummingbird Sightings!

  • I like watching humming birds at my feeders but how did you film it.

  • Nice video!

You can find these exact feeders at Walmart for under $1.00.

They're cute, but I like to have extra feeding stations just in case more company shows up. :)

  • Interesting feeder, I've never come across one like that. It would work well here because the rain wouldn't get in and dilute the sugar water.

  • Very good! I love hummingbirds!

  • Wow, you get that many hummingbirds in 2 days? we only get half that many a year 'round here! That's Wisconsin for ya. But I absolutely am fascinated by those birds!

  • Awe, you did a great job. I just posted the very first one I ever did. I'll have to learn how to paste them together like yours! Nice job

  • hummingbirds and penguins are my favorite animals!!

  • Wow! I love hummingbirds and penguins too! Cool!

  • I'm in love with hummingbirds! What's in the feeders?

  • It's sugar water 1 part sugar to four parts water. A drop of red food coloring makes the solution red, and is only used once to attract the birds to a new feeder. They are attracted to anything bright red in color.

  • @b0dhran From the findings of human and mice studies regarding red food coloring, I stopped using it. The red on the feeder is enough to attract them, but I went ahead and tied strips of red surveyor's tape to mine for that added visibility; it flutters in the breeze, which is probably very tempting to a hummer.

  • You did a great job of filming these tiny wonders! Thanks for sharing your work. I love Hummingbirds! I have two feeders up and have three different females this year. There was a male who came early this spring but I've only seen him one time. It's the females who are visiting the feeders several times a day. Thanks again b0dhran!

  • dude thats my favorite bird

  • There like Helicopters lol
