Carl Perkins is without a doubt the best rock-a-billy/country singer ever. What a performer! I've loved his music my whole life... the first record of his I bought was "Blue Suede Shoes" back in the late 1950's.

To me this is better than Blue Suade Shoes one of the greatest tunes from the 50s and any decade period I have now been listening to this for well over 50 years and never tire of it My only complaint is that it was on the flip of Blue Suade Shoes, should have been follow up so the world would know it even more. The Beatles may have covered the likes of Carl Perkins, Buddy Holly, Little Richard etc in the eary days, but how can you put aside all their brilliant post '65 work because of that? Songs like Strawberry Fields, In My Life and Golden Slumbers are some of the best melodies ever produced. You can't argue with that kiddo.
